Perfect activity for a rainy day - After spending the past two days walking the Forum, Colosseo and Vatican, our legs were in need of rest. It was also a rainy day, so cooking was the ideal activity. Maria was our leader and she was excellent! Even my non-cooking 20 year old son enjoyed it. First, we assembled our individual tiramisus. Maria even offered an ingredient alternative for my coffee-hating husband in his tiramisu. From there, we made our fettuccini and ravioli. The pace of instruction was good and Maria circulated the group (about 20 of us) to ensure no one was lagging behind and assisted any struggling chefs. Once pastas were completed, we selected our sauce choices and our finished products were whisked away. I was pleasantly surprised that our individual pastas were served to us. I thought it would all be grouped together. I'm especially thankful for this since there were some little kids in our group that were finger lickers and dropped ingredients on the floor. We enjoyed our meals in a covered outdoor area that kept us warm and dry. The wine was delicious and I could have sat out there all afternoon. Another perk was they emailed us the recipes for everything--tiramisu, pastas and the 3 sauces.
