Extraordinary experience: how to feel at home ... with taste! - Today, my husband, for my name day gave me an experience, we participated in a cooking class with grandmother Anna and our guide Giancarlo and it was a simply unforgettable experience! From the very first moment you breathed passion, Welcoming and love for cooking. Anna and Giancarlo are not only very good teachers, but also wonderful people, able to transmit tradition, technique and human warmth. We cooked authentic dishes, with local ingredients and great attention to detail. All in a relaxed, fun, engaging, but above all multiethnic atmosphere. I recommend this experience to anyone who wants to live something authentic, learn while having fun and take home much more than just a recipe: a memory that remains in the heart (and in the palate!). Thank you very much, we will definitely be back! ❤️ Vincenzo and Rosalie

Fun Cooking Class - This was a fun cooking class to learn to make focaccia and orecchiette. Anna was a wonderful teacher with the help of Giancarlo for some translations. The focaccia turned out wonderful, and it was very impressive to see Anna make orecchiette the “difficult” way. This was a good experience, and I would recommend it.

Unforgettable Focaccia & Orecchiette Cooking Experience in Bari! 🍅✨ - We had such an incredible time at the Velo Service cooking class! From start to finish, everything was so well-organized and welcoming. Laura, our instructor, was an absolute gem — warm, patient, and passionate about teaching us the traditional way of making Pugliese focaccia and orecchiette pasta. The atmosphere was cozy and fun, with a great mix of travelers, lots of laughter, and hands-on learning. We loved every step — from kneading the dough to smashing fresh cherry tomatoes on top of our focaccia — and of course, tasting our delicious creations afterward! It was such a special experience that really made us feel connected to Bari’s culture and culinary traditions. We highly recommend this class to anyone visiting Bari — it’s not just cooking, it’s memories you’ll cherish forever. 🫶🇮🇹

You don't really eat what you do yourself - kind of a shame - So first of all, the two women (the cook and the translator and entertainer) were super nice and helpful! Everything was shown great explained. So why only three stars anyway...so everyone made a focacciate dough that is thrown away pretty sure, we got a prepared dough piece to top and bake. I can even understand that somehow, after all, it takes quite a while for the dough to go. But honestly? It's yeast dough, give it a little warmth and it'll go faster too. Then we made pasta dough that is thrown away very safely. We made the dough and it was shown how to make the typical orecchiette. Really exciting and a great craft. Unfortunately, we didn't eat our pasta. They were prepared noodles and ours were on the board during dinner. You can't take them with you either, there's a requirement I can understand. But still somehow weird and above all very bad for the food. I did another course with noodles and tiramisu. That's when we all ate our own tiramisu and all together ate our own noodles. I thought that was much better. So all in all I find it too expensive and can not recommend it, even if the ladies were super nice. This is just a criticism of the course itself, not the people who conducted it!
