Wonderful experience of Sardinian cuisine - We had a great pasta class with Giulia 2 days ago. She showed us how to prepare tagliatelle and culurgiones by hand. We found the atmosphere in the small group (4+1 people) to be super relaxed, pleasant, and friendly. Afterwards, we were able to taste the pasta in a 3-course meal. Everything tasted delicious and the dessert was the best of its kind in Sardinia 😉 Giulia, in particular, stuck in our minds because she is such a great and likable host and cook. Definitely book it!

An unforgettable, authentic taste of Sardinia! - Our cooking class in Cagliari with Giulia was an absolute masterclass in Italian hospitality and a definitive 5/5 highlight of our trip! Giulia is an ultra-talented chef, but what makes this experience truly special is her warmth and friendliness. From the moment we walked in, she made us feel completely welcome in her space, sharing her passion for Sardinian culinary traditions with patience and charm. The star of the day was learning how to make authentic Sardinian ravioli from scratch. Giulia’s instructions were clear, hands-on, and incredibly fun. Afterward, we sat down to an absolutely amazing lunch featuring our handmade pasta, perfectly paired with local wine and a delicious dessert to top it all off. If you want a genuine, warm, and mouthwatering immersion into Sardinian food culture, do not hesitate to book this experience with Giulia. It was perfect!

Warm, authentic, and one of the most memorable cooking classes of our trip - We had a wonderful experience taking Giulia’s Sardinian cooking class and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a more personal and authentic food experience. The class took place in Giulia’s home in Sestu, which immediately made it feel warm and welcoming rather than commercial. Giulia was kind, patient, and very hands-on throughout the class. She has a real professional background as a chef, and that came through not only in her technique but also in the little practical tips she shared along the way. We learned how to make culurgiones and tagliatelle completely from scratch, including dough, filling, shaping, and sauces. The most special part for me was learning the traditional sealing technique for the culurgiones, which is much more intricate than it first looks. Giulia explained everything clearly and demonstrated each step as many times as needed. The class also included a full meal, which made it feel very generous. We enjoyed an appetizer with salami, pecorino, bruschetta, and honey, then both pasta dishes with different sauces, Prosecco, and finally delicious sweet fried ravioli filled with ricotta, sugar, and orange zest, followed by mirto. She even offered coffee at both the beginning of the class and at the end of the meal, which was a lovely touch. Another thing we appreciated was the atmosphere. Giulia was very kind and helpful, and even with a mixed group, the class flowed naturally and felt relaxed. She speaks some English and German, and everyone felt included. It was clear that she genuinely cared about giving us a good experience, not just getting through the lesson. This class felt deeply Sardinian — handmade, practical, generous, and rooted in real family food. We left not only full, but genuinely happy we had spent those hours with her. Highly recommended.

Cozy cooking workshop with lots of extras - Guilia received us very kindly. Everything was already ready to cook but we first got a cup of coffee. Then we made 2 dough. Guillia patiently and kindly explained how to do it. We were given a plate of cheese and meat beforehand, and bruchetta. Then the homemade tagliatelle and then the stuffed pasta. She also made us dessert. I highly recommend doing this cooking workshop. It is a 15-minute drive from the center

Great dishes, easy to make with a great teacher - If you’re in Cagliari without a car, treat yourself to a short adventure: hop on Bus #110 at the ARST station (by the train station) for a couple of euros (well, 4 euros if you plan to come back) and take a short ride out to Sestu for a few hours with Giuglia. She’s a chef with restaurant experience in three different countries who knows how to give simple instructions in four different languages, all with patience and joy. Curlugiones are THE ravioli of Sardinia—as beautiful as they are easy to make. Giuglia’s were prettier than mine. But that’s what practice is for. Make sure you ask her for a couple of sauce recipes.
