How Lucky To be in Italy in November for White Truffle Season - We shared a lovely and informative walk in the woods with our guide and our truffle hunting team. Truffle growing and training the dogs for hunting are fascinating and our guide made the experience engaging and fun. They kindly provided boots for the muddy walk, however make sure you bring warm socks and clothing. The sun never hits this part of the forest and the best weather for white truffles to grow is in the cold and wet season. If you consider yourself a foodie this experience shouldn’t be missed.

Top of the line with Margherita and Giovani! - Margherita and Giovani the truffle hunter who welcomed us very punctual and warm despite the snow of November 22nd! We were lucky enough to find four Alba truffles... with the super dog Turbo. Full of authenticity and sincerity. Many thanks and we would obviously recommend to any public.

Culinary walk - It was an unforgettable experience - great guide, great explanations, pleasant route (which of course will not be revealed!). We were lucky enough to find, among other things, a 130 gram white Alba truffle - a wonderful fragrance. Highly recommended, who feels like the beautiful Piedmont nature!

Recommended! - One of the highlights of our trip. Great to see Giovanni and his dog Turbo working together. We found no less than 5 truffles (2 black, 3 white!). A fun and educational excursion. Recommended!

Exciting 💖 - Giovane is a 3rd-generation truffler, with his Gigi make a perfect duo. Excellent experience of how such a valuable food is at risk of extinction due to lack of regular rainfall. The truffle needs moisture and snow in the winter provides this constant moisture in the dew.

Must do when visiting the Piedmonte! - Our tour guide, Margherita, was amazing! I highly recommend this tour. She was knowledgeable, energetic and her instructions to get to the hunt location were perfect. We found several white and black truffles on our hunt. The hunter and his dog were so fun to watch in action. He only spoke Italian, but Margherita translated everything he said and it was great to hear both of their insights about truffle hunting. We also found out that Margherita does wine tasting tours and we will book with her next time we are visiting.

Spectacular, amazing experience and unique chance to get immerse into an fantastic Italian family in Piemonte. - Great experience with Massimiliano, his family ( daughter Asia) and friend and interpreter Lucia. You will feel unique, see the dogs finding the truffles and touching them as they gets out of the soil is quite spectacular. Returning in their beautiful house and having country style lunch with great food, wines and all kind of truffles dishes is unique. Their welcoming atmosphere is grandiose and you feel like special guests. Buying white truffles at a decent price is another reason to visit them. Thanks again François & Janique from Montreal, Canada.

Small scale with interesting facts about the local culture of truffle hunting - price does not match expectations - This was a fascinating experience where we were allowed to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and at the same time get to know the practice of truffle hunting. Our questions about the truffles and hunting were answered nicely. The guide and the truffle hunter were friendly and wanted to give us a nice activity. We were a group of 8 friends and most of this group found the price of this activity disproportionate to what we got. The group's expectations were much higher based on the price paid jointly of more than 600 euros. After all, it is a very small walk that comes to an end after barely an hour and a half and no km of walking. There is a lot of truffling on site, there was no enthusiastic truffle dog named Turbo (see other reviews) but a small dog that did not listen to the truffle hunter at all. The hunter had to point out where the dog should sniff and "discover a truffle". This led some critical participants to question the authentic design of the activity. While we appreciated the stories of the guide and hunter, many in the group felt they were far too limited. It was a shame that information was regularly given to a questioner and this information was not shared with the group. Those looking for an extensive experience with a lot of information and a brisk walk through the woods with a driven dog and hunter will stay hungry. If you find something to your liking in a small-scale event with two local guides who genuinely do their best to give the visitors a nice experience with some interesting facts here and there to get acquainted with the local culture and if you are willing to spend a substantial amount of money for this (alternatives elsewhere are at the same price) this is highly recommended.
