- Pompeii Archaeological Park - Pompeii (/pɒmˈpeɪi/) was an ancient Roman city located near present-day Naples in Italy’s Campania region, within the comune of Pompei. Alongside Herculaneum and numerous villas in the vicinity (such as those in Boscoreale and Stabiae), Pompeii was buried under 4 to 6 meters (13 to 20 feet) of volcanic ash and pumice during Mount Vesuvius’s eruption in AD 79. Many residents were unable to escape and were also buried. The journey from Rome to Pompeii takes approximately 3 hours.

Pompeii and Positano! - Small group tour with pick up and drop off at our accommodation in Rome. Wonderful day down to Pompeii and Positano with a couple of stops along the way.
Our driver organised lunch at a lovely restaurant down near the water at Positano. Steep climb back up the hill but well worth it.
Highly recommend.

Definitely Recommend! - We had the BEST time! We were picked up on time, our driver was so knowledgeable, we stopped at the perfect places. It was all so well organized, I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

Pompeii and Amalfi Coast - Fabio was a fantastic driver and tour guide. He took us to excellent photo stops along the Amalfi Coast. The tour at Pompeii was excellent. Highly recommend this tour!

Great views, food, and history - I booked a solo day tour to Pompeii and Positano, Almafi Coast from Rome and it was fantastic! Pompeii was amazing, I would definitely recommend getting a guided tour while there. Fabio was my driver and was very friendly and thoughtful. He took pictures, showed us the best spots, and even bought us a yummy local snack. Postiano was a highlight and a place that I will return to. I recommend this trip for anyone looking to pack a lot of Italy into one day!

Plan for a long day - We were picked up directly from our hotel, which was very convenient. However, our start time was supposed to be 7 am, and the driver arrived at 6:15 am. This was communicated through the messaging app the day before the tour, but I did not see the message until 5 minutes before the driver arrived. The driver was patient and understanding about this mixup. The trip was a full day. We were dropped off at 10 pm. Our guide was friendly, but I wish he would have told us to bring in water, with extra bottles of it, into Pompeii. There was nothing offered inside, and it was extraordinarily hot. Our guide suggested a restaurant in Pompeii, which had great food. We stopped for pictures along the way to the Amalfi Coast, which was appreciated. Overall, our trip was fun and informative.

Nice day but long. - It’s a very long day but get to see some lovely sights. Our driver Fabio was good but a bit more explanation about places we are going past would be great. In January most places in Positano are closed. Had a limoncello tasting which was good.

Great day trip - Great trip. Perfect day trip from Rome to Pompeii and the coast! Driver was nice and stopped us along the way for a bathroom break. After Pompeii we stopped along the coast for photos. The only down side was the traffic on the way back to Rome. Took us 3 to 4 hours to get back to Rome. Uncontrollable and not upset about it. Would recommend!

The driver was very nice... - The driver was very nice but he didn’t speak English and the van was old. The tour company overbooked the passengers for the size van and two of the passengers could not go on the tour.

Transport a disaster, Pompeii awesome! - There was no high speed train! Without letting us know the transport was changed to a van. The van they sent was short on seats, so 1.5 hours later we were able to start with a bigger van. That snowballed into a major traffic snarl and a 4.5 hour return trip. Finally got back at 10 pm. The Pompeii tour was awesome!

THEY DON’T SHOW UP - if you really want to go on a day trip choose something else - THEY DIDN’T EVEN SHOW UP. DON’T BOOK WITH THEM! We got to the meeting point and waited a whole hour for them to get us until giving up we called trip advisor and the company that does these tours while we were waiting. The company didn’t answer and trip advisor told us to keep waiting for them. We were coming from tivoli and ended up getting a hotel in Rome just so we can do this tour and they didn’t even come. It was a waste of our time to book the hotel in Rome, check out of our other hotel early, transfer bags to our new hotel and get to the meeting point all of them not to show up. Completely disappointed with trip advisor as well. We were on the phone with them for 40 minutes and all the best they could do is just to give us a refund. There was another experience similar to this one for the same day but they were asking for $200 more than we paid rather than just comping the difference. If you really want to go on a day trip this is NOT THE ONE, YOU WONT BE GOING.
If they don’t meet the amount of people they will just cancel your trip. Also beware they will message you off of WhatsApp without notice, even if you don’t use WhatsApp 😑if they planned on not coming, why wouldn’t they tell trip advisor and why did trip advisor keep messaging me to get ready for my trip.
