St. Peter’s Square - St. Peter’s Square is a large plaza located directly in front of St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican City, the papal enclave inside Rome. Both the square and the basilica are named after Saint Peter, an apostle of Jesus considered by some to be the first Pope. At the centre of the square is an ancient Egyptian obelisk, erected at the current site in 1586. Gian Lorenzo Bernini designed the square almost 100 years later, including the massive Doric colonnades, four columns deep, which embrace visitors in “the maternal arms of Mother Church”. A granite fountain constructed by Bernini in 1675 matches another fountain designed by Carlo Maderno in 1613

After being picked up at Civitavecchia port, clients can visit Rome’s major attractions, such as the Colosseum (external view), Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Piazza Venezia, and St. Peter’s Square….
The post-cruise tour is designed for clients who wish to explore Rome for a few hours after their cruise and before heading to the airport. After being picked up at Civitavecchia port, clients can visit Rome’s major attractions, such as the Colosseum (external view), Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Piazza Venezia, and St. Peter’s Square. Clients have the flexibility to customize the tour to suit their preferences. The tour may include visits to churches or basilicas where specific dress codes apply (e.g., no short skirts, shorts, or bare shoulders).
Please note that tickets or entrance fees are not included.
The price covers one standard suitcase and one hand luggage per person. Any additional luggage must be declared at the time of booking and may incur an extra charge. The company reserves the right to refuse transport to passengers with excess luggage. Wheelchairs must be reported at the time of booking and are subject to a supplement of €25, payable directly to the driver.
