Istanbul to Ephesus

Istanbul - Guests are picked up from their hotel in Istanbul and transferred to the airport, either Istanbul or Sabiha Gökçen, depending on flight availability on the tour date. Please note that airport assistance services are not included. The driver will drop guests off at the airport terminal entrance. Guests are responsible for proceeding to the flight gate after checking in their luggage. Domestic flights are in economy class with Turkish Airlines or Pegasus Airlines, subject to availability. The baggage allowance is 8 kg for cabin luggage and 15 kg for checked baggage, totaling 23 kg.

Izmir - Upon arrival at Izmir Airport, guests will be greeted by their guide and driver to commence the tour.

Ancient City of Ephesus - Ephesus is the most complete classical city in Europe. Visiting this ancient city offers a journey back in time.

Meryemana (The Virgin Mary’s House) - This shrine has received several papal Apostolic Blessings and has been visited by popes including Paul VI, John Paul II, and Benedict XVI.

Isa Bey Mosque - Located on the outskirts of the Ayasluğ Hills in Selçuk, İzmir, the mosque was in ruins by 1829, and the minaret had collapsed by 1842. In the 19th century, it also served as a caravanserai. Adjacent to the mosque is an octagonal Seljuk türbe made of stone and bricks, featuring a pyramid-shaped roof.

The Basilica of Saint John - This site is reputed to be the tomb of John the Apostle, a cousin and early disciple of Jesus, who is believed to have written the Gospel of John here. It became the main settlement of Ephesus after the ancient town declined following the 7th century Arab–Byzantine wars.

Pamukkale - Istanbul

Pamukkale - After breakfast, guests will drive to Pamukkale, a journey of approximately 3 hours with short breaks.

Hierapolis & Pamukkale - Hierapolis was a tourist destination known for its hot springs, used as a spa since at least the 2nd century BC. Many patrons retired or passed away here, as evidenced by the large necropolis filled with tombs, including that of Marcus Aurelius Ammianos, which features a relief of the earliest known crank and rod mechanism, and the Tomb of Philip the Apostle. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988.

Pamukkale Thermal Pools - Pamukkale, meaning “cotton castle” in Turkish, is a natural site located in Turkey’s Inner Aegean region, in the River Menderes valley, which enjoys a temperate climate most of the year. The thermal pools have attracted visitors for thousands of years.

Denizli - After the visit, guests will be taken to the airport for their flight back to Istanbul.

Istanbul - Upon arrival at the airport, guests will be met and transferred back to their hotel, marking the end of the service.
