Pergamon, Asklepion

Pergamon Ancient City - Early in the morning, we travel to Pergamum, where we will visit the site of Asclepius. This will be the first of the seven churches of the apocalypse. We will learn about their history and read the message of St. John. The entrance fee for Asclepion is included.

Akhisar - We continue to Thyatira (Akhisar), a town in the province of Manisa. It was a bustling area due to its many intersecting streets. Here, we will learn the story of Jezebel at the remains of the church. The entrance fee for Thyatira is included.

Sardis (Sardes) - Our next stop is Sardes, the capital of the Kingdom of Lydia, where we will find the oldest synagogue in the Aegean region. There was a large Jewish community, some of whom became Christians. The entrance fee is included.

Pamukkale - After visiting Philadelphia, we head to the hotel for rest and sleep.

Pamukkale, Hierapolis(Optional)

Pamukkale - Optionally, we have a balloon visit at dawn. We will visit two important sites, including the city of Hierapolis, which flourished during the Roman period. Here, we will see the travertines, Cleopatra’s pool, and a theater with a stunning view of the entire valley.

Laodikeia Antik Kenti - After Hierapolis, we will visit Laodicea, where a Jewish community once existed and was later dominated by Christians.

Pamukkale - After Laodicea, you can rest and sleep at your hotel in Pamukkale.

Ephesus Ancient City

Ancient City of Ephesus - We will travel to the Ephesus Region, where Saint Paul delivered his speech to the inhabitants of Ephesus. We will see the largest theater in the province of Asia Minor, walk the streets, visit fountains and temples, and feel the presence of the apostles. Optionally, you can visit the tomb of Saint John and the house of the Virgin Mary, where she lived for a period. On this day, we will also have the chance to visit a leather shop. Only the entrance fee to the Ephesus Ancient City is included in this tour.

Saint Polycarp Church - Upon returning to Izmir, we will visit the church of St. Polycarp, a student of St. Paul and protector of the city of Smyrna. Accommodation in Izmir.

Izmir - Depending on their flight, guests with a short program will be transferred from the hotel to the airport. For those who wish to add three more relaxing days at a hotel by the Aegean Sea, a sea vacation can be arranged. Guests with reservations until Sunday will have free time. On Sunday, according to your flight schedule, we will transfer you from the hotel to the airport.

Offering the visit of Seven Churches of Revelation, the destination consists of the Western side of Turkey and is based on St. Paul’s journey on the prophetic visions of St John the Apostle. Sites of the seven churches revealed in visions, Smyrna, Thyatira, Pergamon, Sardis, Philadelphia, Laodicea, and Ephesus will be visited respectively. The spiritual atmosphere, blended with ancient Greco-Roman and Christian architecture is the key point of our visit. Amongst them, are Pergamon’s Asklepion and Red Basilica, Sardis Gymnasium & Synagogue, Ephesus’ legendary Celsus Library, and its colossal theater is some of the exemplary sites of visit during our tour. The acquaintance with Turkish Cuisine during lunchtime and the relaxing experience of the Cleopatra thermal pool visit are amongst the highlights of our tour.
