Candy Crafting - We began our experience with lunch at the mansion before our tour. Menu was reasonably priced. Food was good. Wonderful tour and historical information on the candy mansion. The guide was personable and fun. He had a wealth of information about candy and the processing. It was interesting to watch how they wrapped the candy. We had no idea there was so much hands on work that was need to wrap one piece of candy. And, that candy making was hands on even with machines needed to help. The Carmel candy and chocolate were great. We loved the chocolate bar we got at the end, because we got to select the 3 toppings we wanted on top! We felt the price of the tour was fair as it included a nice chocolate bar. I plan to return with a friend and he 3 kids this summer. If having lunch, allow 3 hours. Otherwise 2 will do. There is a small parking lot in the back but show up early. Lot was full when we arrived at 12:30 for lunch before our tour. If you can’t park in the lot, there are meters on the street and they allow you to pay for only a max 2 hours and then you have to pay again. You can use a smart phone to pay or coins but only for up to 2 hours at a time

Great Experience - Very cool place! We had seen a documentary on TV about the candy making company and it was nice to see it in person. The chocolate tastes amazing.

Fun, and Tasty - We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon for a 12:30 p.m. tour. We were welcomed quickly by Barbara, who gave us complimentary sea salt caramels, and then had a wonderful 30 minute tour with Joy, a person's name who truly fits their personality. We learned about the various sweets and how they're made, and at the end we got to enjoy a custom-made candy bar. This could be a wonderful event for people of all ages when enjoying the Jacksonville area. Parking was easy within close walking distance.

Fun and enjoyable! - Great place! The tour guide was very informative. She know the history of the place and was very personal. You get to have your own candy bar created as part of the tour.

Sweet Pete's is worth the visit - A fun store to visit, with a cool restaurant and lots of great treats. The tour, given by Pete, the owner, took us through all three floors of the shop, and gave us insights on the building of the business, the making of chocolate, and a bit of the history of the location. A definite must-visit when in Jacksonville.

Great for adults - It was a very nice tour where they talked about the history of the building and company. Probably not the best choice for kids as it’s not interactive at all. I think I misunderstood that we would be involved in the making of our own chocolate bars. But they made them for us. There are better options for kids - he told us about several classes they do which I think would be a lot more fun for them.

Cool store, tour was not worth it. - The store itself was really fun to visit. The decorations were incredible. The tour…not so much. We all felt like they tried to make a tour of something there was no tour for. There was no candy in production…so we were told…this is the pan they would pour the chocolate into…??? I would recommend a visit to the store itself, but skip the “tour”.
