Unforgettable experience for our family of five! - This was our first time ever trying surfing. As the mom, I almost didn’t sign myself up—I didn’t think I could do it. But I’m so glad I did! The instructors were incredible—patient, encouraging, and truly skilled. I honestly believe they could teach anyone to surf. To top it all off, they captured the most amazing photos and videos of our experience—memories we’ll treasure forever. A true bucket list moment. Highly recommend!

Fun for All Ages - We had 3 kids ages 13, 17 and 20 participate. They LOVED this activity and indicated it was one of their favorites in Costa Rica. I highly recommend. Also, they have a photographer taking stills and drone footage. The pix and videos provided some pretty cool memories.

Surfer Factory is the BEST! Pura Vida Always - I've been going to Surfer Factory since 2014! Every time I go to Costa Rica (I try to go at least 1x per year) I plan my travel to ensure that I can get at least one day of lessons in. Alain, Nadine and the entire Surfer Factory crew are the absolute best! This time I brought a group of 64 people with me to Costa Rica, 1/3 of them decided to surf and they were so thrilled and happy they did. They all had an amazing time <3 The Surfer Factory Team helps everyone feel comfortable out in the water, Nadine ALWAYS takes the best photos (and now videos) and every time my lesson is complete, I'm yearning for another. Sadly, there just isn't enough time in the day to do all the things that Costa Rica has to offer, but that being said, I'll always make time to pop in for at least one day and if you're in the area, you should too! :) PS. If you're on the fence, just try it, you won't regret it! -or- If you think your child is too young, we brought our youngest out when she was 3 and we still look back at the pictures and have so much gratitude that she was able to have that experience. I can't state enough just how amazing this surf school is and I'm confident you'll feel the same way! Pura Vida!

Great service, Excellent temperature! - The photography was exceptional, and the service provided was comprehensive and supportive throughout the entire process. Furthermore, the water temperature was comfortably warm.

Awesome first time surfing experience! - This experience went above and beyond my expectations. Even though you’re in a group, they only paired two people to an instructor so you get tons of support out in the water. All of the instructors were patient and super helpful. My two teenagers and I were able to stand up on our boards by the second run. It’s been a full day since our experience and we are still talking about it. The picture package is pricy but they get some pretty awesome shots. I would definitely recommend booking through this company!

Surfer Factory is a place to go! - I took my kids to get a surfing lesson, and Johnny was amazing with his consistency, patience, and fantastic skill-building ability in a very short time. My kids booked another private lesson the next day and want to surf for the entire time we are here. 1st time surfing - I had never surfed before, and this experience completely blew me away! From the moment I arrived, the team made me feel safe, confident, and excited to learn. The instructor was incredibly patient and encouraging, breaking everything down step-by-step. What made it even more special was having a photographer and videographer there to capture it all. (That did have an additional cost)

LOVED IT!!! This AMAZING team absolutely made my trip!!! - AMAZING!!!! Absolutely loved this day!!! Jose not only got me ON the board but I learned to turn frontside, backside, started linking them together and was able to paddle and get up on my own by the end! Nadine took some absolutely amazing photos and drone footage that totally made my day!!!!

Best surf lesson ever - Hands down this is the best place to take surf lessons, not only in Costa Rica but in the world! My wife and I took lessons in Hawaii a few years ago and it was ok, I kept falling lol but this time we both had a blast and it was thanks to the instructor Jose. This shows how a great, knowledgeable, and caring instructor like Jose can make a difference, he gave us a lesson on the sand with a lot of pointers and teaching us techniques, once we were in the water he was always pointing out what to correct, what to do better to improve the ride and everything worked fine, I was able to ride a lot of waves without falling. My wife and I left super happy with everything, the whole process is smooth, everyone involved is very professional, the photos they (Nadine) take for you are great and this time she even used a drone for some photos and videos that came out wow. If you are ever in Costa Rica and have never surfed or have but want to have a great time, look no further, this is the company to go! No doubt!
