Visitors can spend time exploring the fort’s grounds, where the arched doorways are an architectural marvel. Climbing to the top of the fort offers a stunning view of the surrounding area.
- Chand Baori (Stepwell) - After exploring Bhangarh Fort, guests will be taken to a local restaurant for lunch (beverages not included). Following lunch, the tour continues to the ancient village of Abhaneri. Founded in the 9th century A.D by King Raja Chand of the Gurjar kingdom, the village was originally named ‘Abha Nagri’ or the ‘city of brightness,’ which evolved into its current name, ‘Abhaneri.’ According to legend, Goddess Harshat Mata, in a joyful mood, spread brightness throughout the village, inspiring its name.
Visitors will have the opportunity to visit the exquisite Harshat Mata temple, an architectural gem that suffered damage during Mahmud Ghazni’s invasion.
In front of the Harshat Mata temple lies Chand Baori, renowned as the deepest and largest stepwell in India. It features 13 levels and reaches a depth of 65 feet, with 3,500 narrow steps leading down to the water.
At the conclusion of the tour, guests will be driven back to Jaipur and returned to their hotel.
