- Bhangarh Fort - Guests will be picked up from their hotel in the morning and transported to Bhangarh Fort, located a 2-hour drive from Jaipur. Numerous paranormal activities have been reported at this fort, leading to the establishment of villages far from its perimeter. The local folklore is rich with stories about this haunted fort. Entry to the fort is prohibited at night. Visitors can spend time exploring the fort’s grounds, where the arched doorways are an architectural marvel. Climbing to the top of the fort offers a stunning view of the surrounding area.
- Chand Baori (Stepwell) - After exploring Bhangarh Fort, guests will be taken to a local restaurant for lunch (at their own expense). Following lunch, the journey continues to the ancient village of Abhaneri. This village was founded in the 9th century A.D by King Raja Chand of the Gurjar kingdom. Originally named ‘Abha Nagri’ or the ‘city of brightness,’ it eventually became known as ‘Abhaneri.’ According to legend, Goddess Harshat Mata, in a joyful mood, spread brightness throughout the village, inspiring its name.
Visitors can explore the exquisite Harshat Mata temple, an architectural gem that suffered damage during Mahmud Ghazni’s invasion.
In front of the Harshat Mata temple lies Chand Baori, recognized as India’s deepest and largest stepwell. It features 13 levels and reaches a depth of 65 feet, with 3500 narrow steps leading down to the water.
At the conclusion of the tour, guests will be driven back to Jaipur and dropped off at their hotel.
