- Amber Palace - Amer Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2013, was constructed by Hindu Rajput kings in the 16th century. The fort showcases a stunning blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture. Located 6 kilometers from Jaipur city in Amer town on the Jaipur-Delhi highway, Amer Fort is divided into four distinct courtyards, each built by different kings. It took over a century to complete this fort, which is renowned for its exquisite Mirror Palace, where walls and ceilings are adorned with mirrors from Belgium. Visitors can also admire beautiful fresco paintings and intricate inlaid work on white marble.
- Panna Meena ka Kund - Known as a stepwell, Panna Meena ka Kund was built in the 16th century. It served as a place for religious gatherings and is famous for its artistic step design, located in Amer town.
- Jal Mahal - After visiting Amer Fort and Panna Meena ka Kund, travelers can head towards Jaipur, stopping at Jal Mahal along the way. Jal Mahal, meaning Water Palace in Hindi, was built in the middle of a lake in 1799 AD, just 3 kilometers from Amer Fort on the route to Jaipur. This palace served as a summer retreat for the Jaipur kings during hot summers. Access to the palace was only possible by boat. Although not open to tourists, visitors can stop to capture beautiful photographs.
- Royal Gaitor Tombs - Following the Water Palace, a short 3-kilometer drive leads to Royal Gaitor, the royal crematorium still used by Jaipur’s royal family. All Jaipur kings were cremated here due to their Hindu faith. The site features marble and red sandstone cenotaphs with remarkable carvings.
- Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind - The next stop is Hawa Mahal, or the Palace of Wind, located in the heart of the Pink City. Built in 1799 AD by the Maharaja of Jaipur, it resembles a wall from the front and boasts 957 small windows and jharokhas. Royal ladies would visit this wall from the City Palace to enjoy views of the vibrant street and observe royal and holy processions without being seen by men. This is a perfect spot for capturing memorable photos.
- City Palace of Jaipur - A 5-minute drive from the Palace of Wind leads to another magnificent palace in Jaipur, the City Palace. This palace became the new residence for the kings of Amer town. In 1727, Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh of Jaipur founded his new city and built this palace, which remains occupied by Jaipur’s royal family.
- Jantar Mantar - Jaipur - A short walk from the City Palace takes visitors to Jantar Mantar, an incredible observatory and a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2010. Built in the early 18th century by Jaipur’s founder, Sawai Jai Singh, who was a renowned astrologer, astronomer, and town planner, this site features astrological and astronomical instruments still in working condition.
