- Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind - Hawa Mahal, is an iconic architectural marvel and a prominent tourist attraction in the city. Also known as the “Palace of Winds,” it was constructed in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, the ruler of Jaipur. The mahal was designed by Lal Chand Usta, an architect in the court of the Maharaja.
Designed in the Rajput architectural style and is made of pink sandstone. The purpose behind the construction of Hawa Mahal was to provide a grandstand view for the royal ladies of the court to observe everyday life and processions on the bustling streets below without being seen themselves, as they followed strict purdah (veiling) customs.
The design of Hawa Mahal is inspired by the crown of Lord Krishna. The windows not only allowed a gentle flow of air through the palace, keeping it cool during the scorching summer months, the interior of the Hawa Mahal is relatively simple, with a series of chambers and passages that were once used by the royal family.

A Great Tour! - Our tour of Jaipur was unforgettable thanks to our incredible guide. He took us through the city's most iconic temples, forts, and landmarks with deep knowledge and genuine passion. His storytelling blended cultural insights and personal touches that made each site even more meaningful. It felt less like a formal tour and more like exploring with a good friend who truly cares about the city. Jaipur must see sights! - I recently took a highlight tour of Jaipur, and it was an incredible experience! Our guide led us through the magnificent City Palace, where we marveled at its stunning architecture and rich history. The Palace of Winds (Hawa Mahal) was another highlight, with its intricate façade and unique design that allowed royal women to observe the street below without being seen. The vibrant colors and bustling atmosphere of Jaipur added to the charm. Each sight was captivating, making this tour a fantastic way to soak in the culture and beauty of the Pink City. Highly recommend for any person, couple or group. Our guide was extremely kind and knowledgeable. It felt like traveling with a friend.

No stress tour with Vivek! - It was a great experience guided by Vivek! Beautiful relaxing city walk with nice highlights. He showed us some authentic hidden gems adding stops for some local bites. Highly recommended!

Jaipur tour - We had a very enjoyable tour around Jaipur with BL Kumawat (Kumar) and our driver Damodar Singh. They were both very professional, Kumar was knowledgeable about the places we visited and both ensured our safety at all times. We felt the tour to be good value for money.

Unforgettable and fun day with Vivek guide - I spent one day with Vivek as a guide. He’s very knowledgeable but not throwing too many historical facts at you so it’s very interesting. Also has good sense of humour and knows this city like the back of his hand. Overall I’m very satisfied with this day, I learnt a lot and had so much fun!

One of the best guide I had - I had an incredible experience with Vivek as our guide on our Jaipur tour! From start to finish, he was not only welcoming and friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable about the city's rich history and vibrant culture. Vivek went above and beyond to make the tour engaging, sharing fascinating stories and hidden details about each location we visited. His passion for Jaipur was evident and made the experience all the more enjoyable. He knew the best spots and even gave us great recommendations for authentic places to eat. Fabulous Guide - Vivek was my guide for a custom tour the full day in Jaipur. He is very knowledgeable, affable, and more than happy to take pictures. We visited Hawa Mahal (where a man told me I was lucky to have Vivek as my guide), Jantar Mantar (my favorite), City Palace, and Amber Fort. I had more potential places in the itinerary, but that was enough for me, so we had a drink at a rooftop bar, where he pointed out the kites being flown, nearby, and I got to watch kite fighting. I had only heard about it in The Kite Runner, so it was fun to see, in person.
He made recommendations for dinner and gave me advice about my next stop. I would definitely recommend Vivek as your guide!

Legendary Experience! - We had a memorable and epic experience in Jaipur! Our guide was passionate, extremely knowledgeable, warm, and friendly! He shared great stories, knew all the secret, local spots and best places for photos.
I highly recommend Rajasthan Cultural tours and will be using them again next time!
