- Jal Mahal - This stunning structure, with its light, sandy-colored stone walls, creates a striking contrast against the sparkling waters of Man Sagar Lake. Gracefully situated in the center of the lake, this historic palace, once used for duck-hunting, remains closed to the public. Nevertheless, its charm endures, offering a picture-perfect scene worthy of any postcard. Be captivated by the beauty of this setting, where the seamless blend of architecture and nature creates a truly enchanting spectacle.
- Gatore Ki Chhatriyan - The Kachwaha Rajput dynasty, which ruled at Gatore Ki Chhatriyan, was responsible for maintaining the royal crematorium grounds. Maharaja Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur, selected this site in the 18th century. Since 1733, every Kachhwaha king has been cremated here, except for Maharaja Sawai Ishwari Singh, who was buried at Jaipur’s city palace complex.
- City Palace of Jaipur - The Palace Complex was envisioned and constructed by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur. A stunning blend of Mughal and Rajput architecture, the palace remains the residence of the last ruling royal family, who occupy a private section. While Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II is credited with building most of the structures, later rulers also contributed to its expansion. The City Palace Complex includes the Mubarak Mahal (the palace of reception) and the Maharani’s Palace (the palace of the queen). Mubarak Mahal now houses the Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum, showcasing a vast and unique collection of royal costumes, delicate Pashmina (Kashmiri) shawls, Benaras silk saris, and other garments with Sanganeri prints and folk embroidery. The attire of Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh I is also on display. The Maharani’s Palace, intriguingly, features a fascinating display of well-preserved Rajput weaponry, some dating back to the 15th century.
- Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind - The Hawa Mahal is a palace located in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. Constructed from red and pink sandstone, it is situated on the edge of the City Palace, Jaipur, and extends to the Zenana, or women’s chambers. Famously known as the “Palace of Winds,” it boasts some of the finest architecture in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
- Jantar Mantar - Jaipur - The Jantar Mantar monument in Jaipur houses the world’s largest stone sundial and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Built by Rajput King Sawai Jai Singh, the monument reflects the architectural styles of its era. The Jantar Mantar continues to function as an astronomical observatory, attracting unique travelers from around the globe.
