Beautiful views and great guides - We had a great time with our guide Mahindra! He took great care of us and the views were incredible! Was very hot out but our guides made sure we were safe and out of the sun for the hottest parts of the days. Food and chai especially were great!

Great experience in the desert near Jaisalmer - I found Trotters Tours on the Lonely Planet and after a short chat with the owner I booked this tour. A French couple joined in the morning, in the evening also 4 nice Indians and a Japanese guy. The guides Sawal, Mahindra and Chagan explained us how to mount on the back of a camel - none of us had ever done so - and took us around the dunes. We were completely alone, no noises, only this magic desert. They cooked nicely for us and in the night we made a bonfire. After that we slept under the stars and listened to the silence. Everything was perfectly organized, we had lots of blankets for the night and didn’t feel the cold at all. I would recommend this tour and our guides any time and sure will come back one day to do a longer one!

Great experience ,Must try - The whole trip was fun.camel ride, saw antelopes on the way, saw fox, some different birds. Stargazing, bonfire, hand cooked meals by the locals. I would definitely recommend to try their non touristic camel safari. It's one of its kind. Thanks to trotters for making my trip memorable

A magical moment - It was a magical moment. I highly recommend! The team is very friendly. The food is simple. My disappointment is that the dunes are not natural but created for tourists

Amazing, authentic camel safari - Authentic camel safari and the Trotters team worked hard to make sure we had a special time. We did the 1-day overnight safari and it coincided with New Year’s Eve - for a modest supplement, they created a fantastic evening with a massive bonfire, Rajhastani music and dancing, and a tasty meal. Also a special cake and fireworks! Very worthwhile! The only slight negative was we had to be quite firm to make sure we got our allotted time on the camels. As we were there at such a busy time, there seemed to be a bit of behind-the-scenes juggling going on. That said, we were happy in the end with the time we got - around 2hrs in the morning, 1hr in the afternoon on day 1 and 1hr on day 2 - and we’d have struggled to manage much more anyway! Camel-riding is pretty uncomfortable! The scenery is gorgeous though and the whole thing totally worthwhile. Plus the camels are cared for and seem to be in good condition.

Camel Over night Safari - The night stay at desert was amazing... People were also very cordial and they looked after us time to time. The camel safari was quite adventurous and we had lot of fun in the night with a bonfire, stargazing and a wholesome dinner.

Amazing Desert Adventure with Trotter’s Safari Tour - Our experience with Trotter’s Safari was unforgettable! A huge thanks to Chhagan, Piran, Gibdraur, and Mehindrar—they were so kind, funny, and incredibly helpful throughout the trip. The highlight was sitting under a sky full of stars, away from the crowds, enjoying the peace of the desert. We met some great people, shared stories around the campfire, and truly soaked in the magic of the dunes. If you’re looking for an authentic desert escape, Trotter’s is the way to go. Highly recommend!

A humbling experience - I booked online with Trotters - not knowing that in Jaisalmer you have a camel trek offered at every other house you pass. Only when I arrived I understood that there is a lot of difference in quality. Main thing to check is the group size and the nationalities. It seems that some groups are more into partying and drinking, while others - me - are more going for nature and silence.  All in all, I was very happy I booked with Trotters. We were only with 2 persons, and Mahinder (our guide) was excellent. His English is good and he constantly checks if you are still allright. And even if you have very strange requests (like walking instead of riding the camel) he will do his best to accomodate you. Make sure to bring some money for tips or something else to give away. They don't ask for anything, but as it was my last day in India, I had hardly any rupees left and I felt quite bad about it. It is certainly a humbling experience.
