- Glodok Chinatown - In Glodok, or Chinatown, visitors can explore the oldest Chinese temple, Petak Sembilan or Dharma Bhakti Temple, built in 1650. After visiting the temple, enjoy the vibrant wet market, where locals shop for a variety of items, including vegetables, fish, fruits, and groceries.
- Istiqlal Mosque - Istiqlal Mosque is the largest mosque in Southeast Asia. Built by Indonesia’s first president, Sukarno, and completed in 1978 during the tenure of the second president, Suharto, it represents Indonesia’s status as the country with the largest Muslim population. Visitors can admire the mosque’s beautiful design and interior, which can accommodate 200,000 people. Please note that Istiqlal Mosque is closed every Friday for religious purposes.
- Jakarta Cathedral - Located opposite the Istiqlal Mosque, this church was constructed during the colonial era in a neo-Gothic style with European architecture. Together with the mosque, it symbolizes Indonesia’s unity in diversity. Please note that on Sundays, Mass is held, so access may be limited to the exterior only.
- National Monument (MONAS) - The National Monument is an iconic symbol of Indonesia, standing 132 meters tall, representing the nation’s spirit during the fight against colonialism. Visitors can make a brief stop to walk around and take photos. Please note that the National Monument is closed every Monday for maintenance, and access to the park area is restricted on that day.
- State Elementary School Menteng 01 Pagi - This is the school where Barack Obama studied as a child from 1969 to 1971. A statue of young Obama is present on the grounds. Visitors can enter the school, meet students, and observe local activities during school days from Monday to Friday. On weekends, when the school is closed, only the statue can be visited.
