We were picked up by boat... - We were picked up by boat on the beach at Negril Beach Club and went down the coast and up the river. It was fun and relaxed. Our captain and tour guides (Diby, Daboy) were playful and knowledgable about the flora, fauna, and history.

A lovely, lazy trip up... - A lovely, lazy trip up the Negril river. Lots of bird life, especially egrets and pelicans. You get a sense of how people live, our guides used the opportunity to gather fish from their traps for their evening dinner.

One of the very best excursions I have been on, anywhere! - We booked the Negril River nature tour, and were pleased to learn that it included a reef snorkelling visit as well. Mayny thanks to our crew, Skipper and Tippy, who made to experience wonderful. They were knowledgeable about the flora and fauna along the river, as well as the historical significance of the river. We saw many large birds, including nesting egrets, herons, pelicans, ducks, and vultures. Once out to the reef, Tippy led a guided snorkelling dive where many tropical fish were spotted, as well as sea turtles, conchs, and a huge stingray! The tour was longer than promised, giving us more time to enjoy the beautiful scenery. A nice bonus. Highly recommended!
