Your tour starts at the Main Lodge of Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, steps away from our 38-seat dome theatre. This unique experience is only available in Jasper, and it’s more than a planetarium show—it’s an interactive journey with a knowledgeable local guide. You’ll get to explore the wonders of the night sky, from Indigenous constellations to the Aurora Borealis over mountain peaks, from views of Rocky Mountain glaciers from space to the edge of the universe and back. Experience the marvels of the night sky with our acclaimed star-gazing tour package! Begin your journey in the Planetarium Dome Theatre, where you can discover local First Nations constellations, the Milky Way, and even the universe’s edge!

Following your planetarium visit, venture outside for a guided tour featuring the Rockies’ largest and most powerful telescopes. On clear nights, peer through the telescopes to learn about the science of the Northern Lights and handle meteorites, a Moon rock, and a Mars rock! If the sky is overcast, enjoy a live, interactive experience with 4K “instant replays” of previous views.

This 1.5-hour adventure welcomes participants aged 4 and up, with children under 4 not allowed in the Planetarium Dome Theatre. If cloudy skies obscure the stars, take advantage of our two-year “Rain Check” at no extra cost! Seize this amazing chance to explore the night sky!
