Fantastic tour! - A wonderful day tour at Jeonju Hanok Village and at Maisan Tapsa Temple, and we were guided by Dos who runs Dream Journey. We got to wear Hanboks at the former (included in the cost!) and Dos showed us around and explained the historical relevance of many sites and things seen. We were then driven to Maisan Tapsa Temple from the Hanok village by Dos (it's well rural and not easily accessible by public transport so it's fantastic that it's included in the tour) and honestly that was one of the more peaceful experiences I have had in a while. The short hike up to the temple on Maisan is very beginner friendly and has even roads but the temple is sublime. I highly recommend it. Special thanks to Dos who not only made many adjustments for us, but also took so many great photos of us! The trip was a lot of fun (and also very cost effective IMO)!!

Fun, education, culture, ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!!! - to summarize: - Incredible nice tour guide!!! - very convenient transport - great choice of sights to see - Educational! We got so much background knowledge about Jeonju‘s history and culture! Our first stop was the Hanok village in Jeonju. Of course we didn‘t miss out on renting beautiful Hanboks! I felt like a princess walking through ancient times 🎎👑 Our tour guide took sooo many pictures of us, like a personal photographer! He was really really patient 🤭 My highlight tho was definitely the trip to Maisan Tabsa, a temple in Jinan. Especially because it is hard to visit on your own when you don‘t have a car! So this was kind of a unique chance for me to experience this side of South Korea! Also, our tour guide was absolutely INCREDIBLE, always making sure we have a great time and enjoy the trip as much as possible! He told us so much about the history and culture of the sights we visited. It does make a huge difference if you „just look at“ the sight, or if there is a guide taking you through history! It wasn‘t just fun, it was also very educational! I‘ve lived in Korea for half a year now but I feel like I learned a lot more about Koreas traditions on this single day 🙈 I can only suggest this trip to those who don‘t have a lot of time to explore Korea, want to get out of the rushing city or just want to have an unforgetable day! I definitely had a fun time, made new friends and collected unforgettable memories that I will carry by heart! And again a huge thanks to our tour guide, you are absolutely amazing! 🌟

A Wholesome Cultural Escape to Jeonju Hanok Village - My recent trip to Jeonju Hanok Village was truly one of the most memorable and wholesome experiences I’ve had in Korea. Known for its beautifully preserved traditional Korean houses (hanoks), the village offers a peaceful yet vibrant escape from the modern city life. As soon as I arrived, I was captivated by the charm of the old wooden buildings, narrow alleyways, and the rich cultural atmosphere that surrounded me. One of the highlights of the trip was wearing a hanbok. Dressing in traditional Korean attire made the entire experience feel more authentic and special. Walking through the village in hanbok, I felt as if I had traveled back in time. Many locals and tourists were also dressed up, creating a colorful and lively environment that was perfect for photos. Every corner of the village offered picturesque views, from traditional rooftops to quaint tea houses and artisan shops. I also had the chance to try some local food, and Jeonju’s famous bibimbap did not disappoint. It was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented—truly a must-try dish for anyone visiting. I also sipped on some traditional teas and enjoyed sweet Korean snacks that added to the charm of the day. Beyond the food and sights, what made the experience so fulfilling was the peaceful ambiance and the opportunity to slow down and appreciate Korean heritage. Whether it was watching performers on the street, browsing handmade crafts, or simply enjoying the views, every moment felt enriching. If you're looking for a cultural getaway in Korea, I highly recommend a trip to Jeonju Hanok Village. It’s a perfect blend of history, beauty, and serenity—a wholesome escape that leaves you with lasting memories.

After that we did a hanbok experience and take some walk in the hanok village. Nice to experience the traditional culture there. After that we went to the temple and the timing was perfect since the cherry blossom was perfectly blooming!

Awesome day in Jeonju - This day trip with Dream Journey Korea was such a great mix of fun and learning—it honestly exceeded my expectations. It kicks off early in the morning with a super easy and well-organized meetup in Seoul. Our guide (who definitely deserves a shoutout) was friendly, funny, and knew so much about the places we were visiting. You could tell he genuinely loved sharing Korean history and culture. First things first: food. We were all starving, so we headed straight to a little restaurant the guide recommended. Each of us got a different take on bibimbap, and the best part? The place is run by “King Bimbim” (Yu Bi-bim), who’s apparently been on Netflix’s Culinary Wars which was a super fun surprise. Our first main stop was Jeonju Hanok Village, where we checked out all the must-see spots like Gyeonggijeon Shrine and the beautiful cathedral. Our guide explained the history behind the area, the architecture, and even gave us insights into some of the artifacts inside the shrine. As part of the tour, we each got to rent a hanbok (Korean traditional outfit), and the whole process was super quick and easy. Later in the afternoon, we made our way to Maisan Tapsa Temple. The scenery was stunning, and our guide shared stories about the temple’s origins, the stone pagodas, and the monk who built them by hand. One of the things I appreciated most about this tour was the pacing. Nothing felt rushed—we had time to stop for snacks, browse the shops, and take as many photos as we wanted. The guide even led us to a quieter shopping street nearby so we could buy souvenirs without the crowds (and at better prices). It’s little touches like that that made the day feel personal and relaxed. If you're interested in Korean culture, history, and nature, this day trip checks all the boxes. It’s a full day, but it never drags.

The day you will keep in your heart 🇰🇷❤️ - Realll review!🫶🏻 I had an amazing experience thanks to Dream Journey! The tour guide was incredibly informative, sharing fascinating stories and historical facts that made the trip even more enjoyable. He also had a great sense of humor, making the tour super fun and engaging. What stood out the most was his patience—he took the time to consider all our requests, ensuring that everyone had a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Jeonju Hanok Village was stunning, with its charming traditional houses and delicious local food, while Maisan Tapsa Temple was truly unique with its mysterious stone pagodas. Everything was well-organized, and the trip was smooth from start to finish. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a memorable day trip from Seoul!❤️

Beautiful Jeonju - I really fantastic trip! It was an easy to find and central pick up location in Soeul. A couple hours and we were there! The city is very pretty and the guide very knowledgeable about the area, not just the history but the best place to get local specialities like Bibimbap and Moja! He was patient when we wanted to stop for photos and to shop. The walk to the Maisan temple was easy and refreshing but if you want to climb to the top then you will feel the burn! Worth a visit at anytime of year but will be so pretty in cherry blossom season.
