The impressive size and golden hue of the gingko trees are awe-inspiring. All Hyanggyos in Korea planted gingko trees, known for their longevity and pest-repelling properties, to encourage students to focus on their studies and achieve greatness for the country.
- Gyeonggijeon Shrine - Historic Site No. 339, Gyeonggijeon Shrine was established in 1410 and houses the portrait of King Tae-jo, the founder of the Joseon Dynasty. It features monuments such as a jogyeongmyo, Jeonju Sago (Historical Archives), and Taesil (the placenta chamber).
