- The Church of St. Catherine - Saint Catherine’s Church is a Franciscan monastery, reputedly built on the site where Christ appeared to St. Catherine of Alexandria and foretold her martyrdom in the early 4th century.
- Milk Grotto - The Milk Grotto Church is where the Holy Family sought refuge during the Massacre of the Innocents before fleeing to Egypt. The name comes from the legend that a “drop of milk” from the Virgin Mary fell on the cave floor, turning it white.
- Shepherd’s Sanctuary - The Chapel of The Shepherd’s Field marks the site where angels first proclaimed the birth of Christ. This Catholic chapel is located in Beit Sahur, southeast of Bethlehem in the West Bank, Palestine.

- Mount of Temptation Monastery - Located about 3km northwest of Jericho and approximately 58km east of Jerusalem, Israel, the Mount of Temptation is in the Judean Desert overlooking the Jordan Valley. After being baptized by John the Baptist, Jesus retreated to this wilderness to meditate and fast, spending 40 days and nights in spiritual contemplation.

The journey continues to the city of Beit Sahour, famously known as The Shepherd’s city. It boasts one of the largest Christian populations. We’ll stop by The Chapel of The Shepherd’s where the birth of Jesus was first heralded by the angels.
Our final destination is The Mount of Temptation & Saint George Monastery. According to the gospels, this is where Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit into the wilderness. The mountain’s peak, about 360 meters high, provides a breathtaking view of the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and the Moab and Gilead mountains.
