• Jiayuguan Fortress - At 7am, you will be picked up from your Dunhuang hotel and taken to the Dunhuang railway station to catch a 2.5-hour train ride to Jiayuguan. Upon arrival, your first stop will be Jiayuguan Fort, the western terminus of the Great Wall during the Ming Dynasty. Built in 1372 to defend against Mongolian invasions, the fort’s well-preserved walls and buildings still stand today. Known as “The First Pass Under Heaven,” Jiayuguan Fort was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.
• Xuanbi Great Wall - Next, you’ll be transferred to the Overhanging Great Wall, reconstructed in the 1980s based on its original design, where you can enjoy stunning views. A quick lunch is included. Afterward, you’ll take the 2.5-hour train ride back to Dunhuang and be transferred to your hotel, concluding the tour.

Jiayuguan is a key town in the Hexi Corridor along the Silk Road. This day tour offers a journey from Dunhuang to Jiayuguan for a sightseeing experience via round-trip bullet train. Participants will visit Jiayuguan Fort and the Overhanging Great Wall in Jiayuguan with a local guide. A light lunch is included. Please note that this is a lengthy day tour. If train tickets are unavailable, a car ride will be arranged instead.
