• Jiayuguan Fortress - At 9:00 am, the guide will meet the group in the lobby of the Jiayuguan hotel for an exciting day trip around Jiayuguan. The first destination is Jiayuguan Fort, marking the westernmost point of the Great Wall during the Ming Dynasty. Built in 1372 to protect against Mongolian invasions, the fort’s walls and structures remain well-preserved. Known as “The First Pass Under Heaven,” it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.
• Xuanbi Great Wall - The next stop is the Overhanging Great Wall, reconstructed in the 1980s following its original design, offering breathtaking views. A complimentary lunch will be provided after visiting the wall.
• The First Beacon Tower - The tour continues to the First Beacon Tower of the Great Wall, located by the Talai River, offering spectacular valley vistas.
• Wei-Jin Tombs - The journey proceeds to the Wei and Jin Ancient Tombs, where visitors can admire a tomb featuring vibrant brick carvings illustrating life from 1,500 years ago. After exploring the tombs, the group will be transported back to the Jiayuguan hotel, concluding this private day tour.
