But fear not, for we’ve spent decades eating (and sipping) our way through the city, and we’ve got the best lined up for you – all tucked away in the charming streets of old-Shanghai.

Very cozy coffee and beakfast tour - Our guide Angela was such a great tour guide, her wonderful hospitality and extensive knowledge made for a very comfortable tour. I had a really good time and I sincerely appreciate her work.

We feasted! - Really nice! We enjoyed ourselves while learning a lot about Shanghai. We ate very good things, we felt the quality! Our guide Max is very attentive and interesting!

A different way to experince a bustling city. - A great tour with a wonderful guide. Saw a part of Shanghai that I wouldn't have experienced otherwise.
There was a good variety of food - food I would order and food I wouldn't know to order, but loved. A good way to spend a morning in Shanghai.

Breakfast in Shanghai - Emma led us to family run businesses to start the day as a local. We sampled local Shanghai dishes starting with fried fish….pork and scallion pancakes…dumplings and sweet treats. Plus coffee including tiramisu flavoured coffee. A lovely way to start a holiday to Shanghai. My second Lost Plates Food tour. Highly recommend.

A lovely morning with great food - Fantastic tour. Jia Chen was a great guide - friendly and knowledgable. We went to places that were very local and not touristy at all - mixture of traditional and modern (some modern coffee places with special local-style coffee) It was a lovely area of shanghai to walk around in the morning. The food was delicious.

Highly recommend for the best start to your day! - Really great food tour with Max! The dishes were delicious and coffee was unique and well worth it. It was a relaxing few hours where we learnt about a bit of Shanghai’s history too. Make sure you come hungry!

Breakfast like a local - We had an amazing time on the Lost Plate Tour in Shanghai! Max was a great guide—super friendly, helpful, and passionate about his city. He answered all our questions and really made the experience special. The tour takes you to very local spots where real Shanghainese people eat, which made it feel so authentic. We tasted delicious Shanghainese food and loved every stop. This was actually our second breakfast tour with Lost Plate (the first one was in Beijing), and once again it was excellent. We totally recommend it!

Incredible Guides, delicious food - Absolutely phenomenal experience. I've done a lot of good tours and would consider myself a foodie. This was probably the best I've ever done. Could not recommend it more, the guide was so knowledgeable and fun and the food was completely delicious. We went back to some of the spots during our trip because we couldn't get enough.

Really nice way to dive into local culture and enjoy traditional breakfast along hip and surprisingly delicious coffee! - “Shanghai Breakfast & Coffee tour” was so good!🧇🍳☕️
Try this tour for local breakfast specialities at the best spots👌
🥞We got to try scallion pancakes, my personal favorite on the tour, perfectly crispy and airy.
🐟We had fresh fried fish! Didn’t taste fishy, but really juicy and sweet.
☕️Followed by delicious coffee with fermented rice, tasted almost like a tiramisu dessert! The shop counts every cup of this coffee sold. We had number 7001, who will get the lucky number 8888?!
🥟Walked further to eat soup wontons, fried dumplings and of course xiaolongbao! This stop was Rob’s favorite.
🥖Finished off with sticky rice fried dough stick and youtiao with fried egg inside, the real breakfast of champions!💪
☕️🍷We brought these along to have with our second cup of coffee which was wine infused?!Yay!
