Continue towards Turmi, the cultural heartland of the Hamar people. Turmi - Karo - Jinka

Turmi - Depart from Turmi in the morning and drive through the rugged and scenic landscapes of the Omo Valley towards the Karo villages. Visit the Karo people, one of the smallest tribes in the region, renowned for their extraordinary body painting, intricate hairstyles, and artistic expression. Situated along the banks of the Omo River, their villages offer breathtaking views and a unique opportunity to experience one of Ethiopia’s most photogenic and culturally rich communities. After spending time with the Karo and learning about their traditions and daily life, continue the journey north to Jinka. Along the way, enjoy the changing scenery and occasional encounters with local tribes and pastoral communities. Arrive in Jinka in the late afternoon, where guests can relax or explore the town, preparing for the next day’s adventures.

Jinka - Mursi - Fly to Addis Ababa

Mago National Park - After breakfast in Jinka, drive into Mago National Park for a visit to the Mursi tribe, one of the most iconic and distinctive cultures in the Omo Valley. The Mursi are well known for their unique traditions, including the famous lip plates worn by women and their strong, proud way of life. This visit offers a rare opportunity to experience their culture, customs, and daily routines in an authentic setting. After the visit, return to Jinka for the flight back to Addis Ababa. Upon arrival, there may be time for some last-minute shopping, a cultural dinner, or simply relaxing after an unforgettable journey through the Omo Valley.
