Day 1: Transfer & Afternoon Safari (Dinner Included)

Kruger National Park - Vomba Tours & Safaris utilizes Ashtons Shuttle services, which depart promptly at 6:45 am. It is essential to be at the bus terminal by 6:30 am (Please ensure punctuality as departures are at fixed times).

Upon arrival in Hazyview at 12:30 pm, a safari guide will greet you and transfer you to the hotel (subject to availability). This will be your accommodation for the next 4 nights, conveniently located just a 15-minute drive from the Phabeni or Numbi gate of Kruger National Park.

There will be ample time to check in and settle before being picked up at 2:30 pm for your first safari, a relaxed late-afternoon/sunset safari. While the cats are most active in the early mornings, the focus will be on plains game like zebras and giraffes.

The park exit is scheduled just before sunset, and you will return to the lodge after a fulfilling day. Enjoy dinner, some leisure time, and an early night, as an early start is planned for the next morning.

Day 2: Full Day Open Vehicle Safari in Kruger National Park (Breakfast & Dinner Included)

Kruger National Park - The safari begins very early, before sunrise, in specially equipped open vehicles. Entering one of the prime wildlife areas of the park, you will spend the day on safari with your ranger, visiting various water holes, lookout points, and rivers.

Breakfast, pre-packed by the lodge, will be enjoyed at a local rest camp. The safari continues with a focus on spotting the Big 5, along with over 100 mammal and 500 bird species, ensuring an exceptional experience. Lunch will be at a local rest camp with a diverse menu, followed by more safari exploration.

Return to the lodge in the late afternoon (4 pm) for relaxation, a swim, dinner, and an early night in preparation for another exciting safari on day 3.

Day 3: Full Day Panorama Tour (Breakfast & Dinner Included)

Panorama Route - After a slightly later start and a hearty breakfast at the lodge, travel in an air-conditioned closed vehicle to the scenic Mpumalanga Highveld.

Visit the world’s third-largest canyon, the Blyde River Canyon, along with the Three Rondavels and the quaint town of Graskop, where lunch and souvenir shopping await. Explore Bourke’s Luck Potholes in the Blade River and nearby waterfalls like Lisbon and Mac Mac Falls. This day is designed to be relaxing.

Return in the afternoon for leisure time, a swim, and rest after the past few exciting days. Dinner will be served, followed by a restful night in preparation for the next day’s wildlife sightings in the park.

Day 4: Full Day Open Vehicle Safari in Kruger National Park (Breakfast & Dinner Included)

Kruger National Park - Rise before dawn for another safari with the same ranger, experiencing the stunning sunrise once more. Explore a different area of the KNP, focusing on discovering wildlife that may have been missed previously.

Visit various water holes, lookout points, and rivers, enjoying pre-packed breakfasts at a local picnic spot. Continue the quest for the Big 5, visiting bird hides along the way.

Breakfast and lunch stops will be determined by the guide’s choice and the day’s direction in the KNP. Return to Bushpackers around 4 pm for a swim, relaxation, and reflection on the past few days’ adventures. Dinner will be served, followed by an early night before the next day’s morning safari and transfer back home.

Day 5: Morning Safari and Transfer Back to Johannesburg (Dinner Included)

Kruger National Park - Depart early from the lodge for your final safari, bringing your luggage along as you enter the park at sunrise. Enjoy another breakfast with packs provided by the lodge, continuing the safari until 11:30 am.

Exit the park and proceed to Perry’s Bridge in Hazyview to meet the Ashtons shuttle at 12:00 pm, heading back to the shuttle terminal at OR Tambo. From there, you will depart to your respective lodges and hotels, concluding a remarkable safari experience.
