Immersive experience in the ghetto. - Interesting experience. The guide has devoted himself a lot, but it must be clarified that it is the ghetto itself. Although he told me he was calm, I didn't feel safe to be there if I wasn't with him. I recommend, but I reserve what I warned, especially for single women, who can feel very uncomfortable with the place, predominantly with men.

Fab Four Nations on A Plate! - Joe is a very friendly and informative guide, keen to cover as many topics as you would like to as you walk the streets of Mabo. Then there's the food - today we started with a taste of Zimbabwe at 'Kalahari Thyme' - such a soul warming broth! Then, across a few streets packed with cool graffiti to Triumphs for a taste of Nigeria - Joloffe Rice - SO deeply spicy and good! Then there's the local favourite - Boerwurst & Steak at the hidden gem Luxor! So naughtily fatty and spicy. And we rounded out with a Ghanaian 3 Rice & Chicken Dish at Akwaba Hotpot back near our starting point (okay, another cheeky beer too at Bertrand Cafe! Why not!) Great to find out about the cultures behind the dishes, and some of the secrets to these recipes. This is a short but really enjoyable and educational way to share a meal!

Taste of Africa Walking Food Tour - Lovely, nice and authentic tour with very nice and funny tourguide. Instead of 3 hours we had four and a half hour walking and eating trip with nice people. We stopped at 4 different local Restaurants with tasty local food. The last Restaurant unfortunately was out of chicken, but we had a refreshing cold beer instead. But this was no problem at all, because our bellys were already filled by the first 3 Restaurants. :)

Complete disappointment - We booked a food tour and unfortunately it fell far below expectations. The experience felt disorganized and definitely not worth the price. We only visited three food stops because the fourth had already closed by the time we arrived, and the only “compensation” offered was a small bottle of water at the end. There were no planned water or bathroom breaks, and those with simple dietary restrictions (which we shared in advance) were not adequately accommodated. Portions were limited, and the food served at every stop was cold. To make things worse, the third stop was in a strip bar, an environment that felt dirty and unwelcoming. Overall, this tour was disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
