In 1947, Dr. Robert Broom and John Robinson uncovered “Mrs. Ples,” the skull of a fully grown adult Australopithecus Africanus. Later, in 1998, Professor Ron Clarke discovered fossil fragments that led to the finding of “Little Foot,” a nearly complete Australopithecus Africanus skeleton. In 2008, Professor Lee Berger announced the discovery of “Sediba” in the same area.
