Tour enhanced by a great guide. - The tour was great! Especially Mr. Thapelo's explanations about the places and historical events, which greatly enriched the tour. There was a small initial scheduling confusion, which was quickly resolved and more than compensated for by the excellent tour.

A good half day trip - I could have gone on my own but the tour guide was informative and helpful. Shuttle service was great too. The guide told me about the city’s famous landmarks on our way to the museum. I took a close look around the museum but he waited me patiently. The museum itself was a must see when you are in Johannesburg.

Apartheid Museum is a must see / do for everyone! - I had a private tour with Cpho and he was wonderful. From communicating with me about traffic accidents delaying my pickup to taking me through the city and explaining the areas we were in on the way to the museum was additional context to help frame what Johannesburg was and what its become. He ensured I was prepared prior to entering the museum and explained the ticket I was given and its significance. He provided his recommendations for how to complete the exhibits and advised he would be waiting for me at the exit. Spending time with someone who knows so much of the history and area was an amazing connection to the content at the museum. Its a beautifully designed space to share the ugly history and suffering shared by so many. Thank you Cpho!!

Powerful, Eye-Opening Experience – A Must-Do in Johannesburg - This tour was incredibly well-organized and deeply impactful. From the moment we were picked up by MoAfrika Tours, everything ran smoothly. Our guide was knowledgeable, respectful, and provided important context before and after the museum visit. The Apartheid Museum itself is a moving and thought-provoking experience. It’s not just a museum — it’s a powerful journey through South Africa’s complex history. The exhibits are incredibly well-curated, emotional, and educational. I’m so glad we took the time to do this tour. It left a lasting impression and gave us a much deeper understanding of the country. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Johannesburg — don’t miss it.

Wonderful tours of Pilanesburg and the Apartheid Museum - Pilanesburg full day trip: this was one of my favourite excursions of all time. Our driver, Thabo, picked us up from the Airbnb and made the drive out to Pilanesburg a lot of fun. Our tour guide in the park, Wisdom, was knowledgeable and very fun! I saw many elephants and giraffes up close! Apartheid Museum: Very informative and moving experience. My driver, Victor, was very friendly and knowledgeable. My experience with MoAfrika tours was excellent. They are very organized and professional, and make everything easy and safe for their guests. Wish I had time to book more tours!

Moving experience of Apartheid - This tour was perfectly paced thanks to our Junior who was there to guide us through each section. It was incredibly moving to see all the stories and facts about South Africa’s oppressive past and how it came to terms today. Thanks to MoAfrika we were able to fit this into our extremely busy schedule with their flexibility.
