Must Do!!!! - Our guide, Ayuri, was wonderful. This is a great tour. My family had a lot of fun with the sushi making class with chef. The quality of the fish provided was fresh and tempura was the best I’ve had so far in Japan. We learned a lot about the history of sushi and sampled different type of saki. Would definitely recommend to anyone interested in sushi.

Cultural integration with sushi & matcha - Yuka was amazing as our tour guide! We loved seeing the very old sweets building (and ordering a unique Japanese sweet to end our experience together). The sushi class was even better than expected. Our chefs were very knowledgeable, kind and helpful. The sushi, the best we’ve had in our stay in Kyoto. The tea ceremony at the end was fun and lighthearted with matcha and our sweets with Yuka. Thank you for making this such a beautiful experience for us in Japan! Highly recommended.

A clear recommendation when staying in Kyoto - This was hands down the best experience we've had in Japan and definitely a highlight of our trip. Our guide and translator was Ayuri. She made sure we felt comfortable, gave lots of interesting insights into Japanese culture and customs as well as doing a traditional tea ceremony with us. She also took pictures of us, so we have memories and could - at the same time- concentrate on enjoying the class. The sushi making itself was lovely as we both got some historical insight into the food as well as some hands-on experience making it by ourselves. We really enjoyed being able to interact with and learn from a local chef who it took decades to master his art. Alongside the sushi we made, we got tempura and were able to taste delicious sake. If you are in Kyoto and have time, definitely try it out!

Amazing experience - This was a truly special experience. We met Yuka in downtown Kyoto and brought us around to pick out some sweets from a traditional Japanese sweet shop. We then went over to the museum to met the sushi master. He was incredible at explaining the origins of sushi and helping us to learn the techniques. Afterwards, we had a lovely matcha tea ceremony and we got to try the lovely sweets we got earlier. Overall an amazing day!
