Unforgettable Experience with Great Guide and Beautiful Night Sky - I joined this tour and it was such a fun and memorable experience! We got to see many interesting creatures, and we were very lucky to spot a coconut crab. The guide spoke excellent English and gave detailed explanations for both English and Japanese speakers, which made it easy for everyone to enjoy.
He also helped us take lots of beautiful photos — the night sky here is incredible, with almost no artificial light, so the stars were stunning. Definitely a unique and worthwhile experience. Highly recommended! 🌌✨

Walking with a flashlight in a quiet night is a relaxing experience. - I had fun that night. The guide is a little Japanese brother named Taku, who speaks good English. The group also packs transfers, which are especially convenient for those who don't have a rental car. We went to the Imgya marine park, where we could see lots of stars in fine weather and even the Milky Way with the naked eye. On the terrace Taku helped me take very amazing pictures of the stars. He also tried hard to find coconut crabs but couldn't find one, but the other regiments found one and saw it anyway ~ It was a relaxing experience to hike with everyone by flashlight in the quiet night.

Meeting the palm crabs and seeing the beautiful starry sky! - I was anxious because it rained on and off from noon today, but I could see beautiful starry sky and palm crab

Great experience! - My husband and i travelled to Miyakojima and we wanted to learn and see more about the animals in the island. This jungle tour was a pleasant surprise! Taku our tour guide took us to the Igmyaa Parc where we saw so many animals including few blue crabs (coconut crab)!! The guide took the time to explain to us the different animals we saw. The last part of the tour was star gazing where our guide took a very nice picture of us with the stars. Taku was very helpful in recommending other beaches to see in the island as well as our pick up and drop off. I would recommend this activity to anyone visiting Miyakojima!

jungle adventure - Taku was an exceptional guide for our jungle adventure! He is incredibly patient, thoughtful, and has such a wonderful personality—he made sure every member of our group felt cared for. What stood out most was his attentiveness: when explaining things to local friends in Japanese, he always took the time to rephrase and translate everything into English for the foreign members of our team, so no one missed out on any details.
Thank you so much, Taku—you’re such a warm, sunny young man! We hope you always get to enjoy the beauty of nature here and live a happy, fulfilling life.

Memorable trip in Miyako - Thanks for Taku giving us a great trip in Miyako! He is very responsive and English is great. The trip was fun to explore the park and get to know the local creatures and plants, and especially the stars and milky way was beautiful! The original date we booked weather was not so good and I changed to another date, that was very considerable of you Taku, thanks again!

Great night tour and snorkeling - Did a night jungle tour and a snorkeling tour with Taku in August 2025 and he was fantastic! He has a lot of good, fun energy and also was able to communicate well. Both tours were in English.
On the night tour, he did a great job spotting all the wildlife and showing us everything. He was able to find a giant coconut crab and also a land crab which are hard to get. He was also great at making sure everyone in the group got to see the wildlife and took some nice photos for us. At the end of the night tour he made sure we had transportation arranged to get back to our hotel which was incredibly helpful since we didn't have a rental car and don't speak Japanese.
On the snorkeling tour he did a safety briefing and made sure all the guests were comfortable in the water. Then he took us to find Nemo and look for turtles. He had a really nice underwater camera (not a goPro) and took some really spectacular videos and photos for us. He got back to the car and instantly shared by air dropping. We really appreciate that!
Booking was easy - all over WhatsApp and in English! Communication was clear and fast. Would definitely recommend Taku and Nami Miyako to others. He also gave some great suggestions on restaurants in town and a mango farm - both were great and very much appreciated!

There's palm crabs. Look forward to the starry sky next time! - They took care to make sure that each participant enjoyed it, and they were able to follow up on information during the trip.

You'll meet a lot more than just coconut crabs. - Our guide, Takuma, is very knowledgeable about not only palm crabs, but also plants, insects and reptiles. On this tour, we encountered three palm crabs, and our son, who is in the first grade of elementary school, was very happy with his smile throughout.
Unfortunately, it was cloudy so I couldn't see the starry sky, but I'll ask for it next time I come to Miyakojima. Thank you very much.

Awesome night walk in the jungle of Japan - It was a fun expedition. Cool to see the night creatures and the lovely sky! Our guide was Taku and he was excellent. Keep our boys 7 and 10 years old entertained.
