During the 60-minute Wine Experience, participants will enjoy a guided tasting of five Japanese wines, each accompanied by fascinating details about its origin, grape variety, and production method. This interactive session encourages discussion, comparison of wine profiles, and a deeper understanding of how Japanese wines and their history differ from those of more familiar regions. The experience is paced to allow full appreciation of each wine, while also helping to develop a basic framework for tasting and evaluating wines. After the guided session, guests are welcome to continue exploring at their leisure, with additional wines available by the glass in a relaxed bar atmosphere. Visitors can also browse the cellar selection, which includes bottles rarely found outside of Japan, available for purchase or delivery to your hotel or airport in Japan. Language barriers are not an issue when ordering, as assistance is available to help select the perfect wine for you.

Classy atmosphere with the friendliest staff and guests - This place is seriously cute and such a vibe. I loved that it’s in a quieter area with way fewer tourists. I was in Kyoto recently and it was sooo crowded I couldn’t relax at all, so this felt perfect.
All the staff were stylish and super nice, and everyone who joined the wine experience was friendly and classy. We ended up chatting, getting along, and even going out for drinks together after — which honestly says everything.

I loved the window art!! - Really enjoyed this — didn’t expect it to be this good
Honestly, I booked this without knowing much about Japanese wine, but I’m really glad I did.
The wines were interesting and different from what I usually drink, and the host explained everything in clear, easy English.
It didn’t feel rushed or touristy at all. The group was small, so it was easy to ask questions and just enjoy the atmosphere.
Nice, calm space, good pacing, and great wines.
If you’re in Tokyo and want to try something a bit different, this is a great option.

Great wine experience - We came in spontaneously and directly got a spot for the wine tasting. They informed us very well about the wines we were tasting. It was so nice, that we stayed for two more glasses each. Will definitly come again :)

Great Japanese wine bar in Shinjuku - I didn’t know anything about Japanese wine until discovering this wine bar! If you love wine, come here, do a tasting, and gain an appreciation for great Japanese wine!

Yummy and educational! - We had a great experience! The sommelier shared and lot of insight to the unique world of Japanese wine. The wines are delicious and unlike anything we’ve tried before. Was great to add to the mix of sake/beer/whiskey on our trip. Just wish we booked ahead for the 1.5 hr tasting!

Unexpected!! - I’m a 25-year-old Japanese woman, and I normally don’t drink alcohol. I joined this experience because a friend recommended it, but I didn’t really know what to expect.
What I liked most was that it didn’t feel like drinking just for the sake of alcohol. It felt more like traveling around Japan. Each wine came with a story about where it’s from, the region, and the climate. Since I know Japanese geography, it was easy to imagine visiting those places while tasting.
There was no pressure at all, and I could enjoy everything at my own pace. Even as someone who doesn’t usually drink, I felt very relaxed and comfortable.
By the end, I realized I wasn’t focusing on the alcohol, but on the places and stories behind each wine.
It really changed how I think about Japanese wine.
I’d recommend this to anyone who’s curious about Japan, not just wine lovers.

I recommend! - It was nice to taste local wines. We were well informed about the grape varieties and wine regions. Nice experience for wine lovers. In addition, the service was done in French, which helped us understand!

Must-go for Japanese native grapes - Fantastic! Got lucky and stumbled across this bar after visiting the nearby Shrine. They speak perfect English and offer short and longer/more educational tastings of Japanese wines!!! As a wine lover, I had been looking for exactly this type of wine bar. They opened two months ago!
