One of the best experience ever! - I’d like to thank you Sosen and Airi for the fantastic experience. I was with a friend of mine and we spent a couple of hours learning how to write things and our names too. That was one of the best experience we could have in Tokyo so far! I recommended it, 100%

Fun and relaxing activity! - A fun and educational experience learning calligraphy! Mayu was a kind and patient teacher who clearly explained the art of Japanese calligraphy and was happy to assist and answer our questions. She helped us write our names and any other words we wanted (dog, cat, matcha, Tokyo, Kyoto, etc). Would highly recommend this experience to gain greater insight into Japanese culture!

Don't miss out on this! - I had a wonderful time learning about the writing history of Japan. We got the opportunity to make our own ink, chose meaningful characters for our names and make out own t-shirts with your favorite characters. I would absolutely do this again, the righting is difficult but the time spent practicing and expressing yourself on page was one of a kind!

Must do experience in Japan - Great experience. The instructor is very knowledgeable and taught us well. The class is very fun. We learned a lot about Japanese culture and language. I definitely recommend adding this to your itinerary.

Beautiful and Fun Experience of Japanese Culture - This was an amazing experience, it took about 2 hours with our instructors Mayu and Janet. They were so informative and kind, we asked so many questions that they took time to answer and help us with. We had a meeting spot and then they walked us to a little art studio upstairs. In total there were 7 people in our session but there seemed to be enough room for a few more if you have a larger group. We learned about the different alphabets in the Japanese language and got to pick the characters to write our names. They showed each of us how to write the chosen characters and even asked if there were any other words we would like to write. They offer shirts to write on for an additional charge and have a variety of sizes to choose from. Overall a very educational and enjoyable time, I would definitely go again to practice my calligraphy and learn more about the culture surrounding it! Thank you again Mayu and Janet you were both amazing!

Real calligraphy school experience - Such a great experience. Sensei Sousen and Janet explained everything in detail. We even did a little quiz about the Kanji characters. I had a lot of time to practice my name and wrote it on a tshirt. This is a real calligraphy school, with a famous teacher.

Lovely experience - We had a great time and learned a lot about calligraphy. Thanks to Tomo and Midori for the assistance and to master Sousen for teaching us, giving tips for particular difficulties and explaining difterent kanji meanings. It was a two-hour workshop and we got to take the sheets and T-shirts as souvenirs.
