A Wonderful Introduction to Japanese Food and Culture - The Japanese Cuisine Workshop was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the activities were both fun and informative. I learned how to make ramen from scratch and even decorated my own chopsticks using traditional Japanese colors and gold leaf which resulted in a unique and personal souvenir. I also made Nerikiri (Japanese sweets) and took part in an authentic tea ceremony, preparing and enjoying matcha the traditional way. The day ended with making a simple but tasty Japanese ice cream from milk and self made rice syrup. Overall, it was a well-organized and enriching afternoon, full of hands-on learning and cultural insight. Highly recommended, no matter if solo or in a group!

Great experience - I had an incredible experience! From the moment we arrived, the instructors were warm, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about Japanese culture and food. We started by learning how to properly use chopsticks, followed by crafting our own delicious, authentic ramen from scratch. The rice candy making was surprisingly fun and gave us a sweet taste of tradition, and the tea ceremony was a peaceful, grounding way to end the workshop. Everything was hands-on and beginner-friendly, yet still rich with cultural insight. I left with new skills, a full belly, and a deeper appreciation for Japanese culinary arts. Highly recommended for foodies and cultural explorers alike!

All the Japanese experience you need in one go - I didn’t expect to fully enjoy the whole experience. I was able to make my own ramen noodles from scratch, make my own Japanese sweets and chopsticks, and experience proper tea ceremony while wearing kimono. It was a full Japanese experience than I ever, having been living in Japan for 6.5 years. The staffs were really friendly and as curious as I am, I would ask questions and they would answer with no hesitation. It was one activity after another, no time wasted. I learned and appreciated about the Japanese culture more and this is an experience that’s surely worth the money.

Rice candy, ramen making & kimono tea ceremony - It was a super fun experience. Nao and Lisa were working on the day I came and they made me laugh so much, my cheeks were sore from laughing too much at the end. It was a really insightful experience and I learnt a lot about japanese culture and the presentations related to the activity (background info)! It was a nice way of getting more practice cooking japanese dishes and the ramen we made tasted really great, thanks to everyone’s help! I highly recommend coming here for a fun experience with friends or family!

It helps us internalize that we are Japanese Natives. I also love the hosts! They are so easy to get along with it. They always guide us about what to do.

Fabulous afternoon in Asakusa - This was really a fantastic experience, I enjoyed it so much! 3 hours seemed like a long time but it really flew by because it was so fun! I really thought the mix of chopsticks and ramen making combined with the tea ceremony and then the tasty rice ice cream was a perfect balance. No part was too long but no part felt rushed either. Lisa and Agata were great, looked after us, explained everything and also told us various history and facts along the way. It was very well put together and just an all-round great afternoon.
