Fun, Funny and Informative! - Meshida's comedy quiz show and walking tour is one part humor, one part history, one part kink and 100% a good time! If you're interested in the less traditional side of Japanese culture and want to know more about it from a guy who knows his stuff (and makes you feel at ease), Meshida is the hentai sensei for you. I probably wouldn't have come looking for a tour about Tokyo's red light district, but I had seen Meshida's comedy act last year at the Edinburgh Fringe and thought it would be hard to go wrong with a tour curated by him. I'm happy to say I learned a lot, laughed a lot and didn't feel like I'd done something dirty by the end of the tour. Highly recommended!

We were the first of this tour! - I had been following Yoshi online for quite a while before finally traveling to Tokyo. When my friend and I arrived, I messaged him to book one of his comedy shows. To my surprise, he offered us something completely new — a private tour with a fresh concept. We would be the very first to experience it — his "lab rabbits" 😊 We met in a cozy café, and upstairs we had our very own private comedy show. Even though I had bronchitis and ended up coughing after every laugh, Yoshi still managed to keep me laughing again and again. His energy was absolutely contagious. After the show, he took us on a guided walk through Yoshiwara — Tokyo’s historic red-light district. He showed us the love hotels, the soaplands, and shared fascinating insights about the erotic side of the city. He explained how things were in the past and how they work today — all with a perfect mix of humor, respect, and cultural depth. Afterward, we grabbed some kebab wraps together and had some great conversations. We shared a few cheeky Turkish jokes with him — which he really enjoyed and laughed hard haha. We had such a good time that we ended up going to his regular comedy show two days later — and loved that one too. I can wholeheartedly recommend Yoshi. The experience was original, educational, hilarious, and truly one-of-a-kind. Plus, the price was very reasonable. I didn’t regret it for a second.

Very unique comedy quiz & walking tour - This comedy quiz show and walking tour is definitely one of a kind and not something that every other tourist visiting Tokyo does. Naturally as R18 topic is in center, this is not for everyone (absolutely not for close-minded or prude). Meshida-san educated us in a very funny and amusing way about the adult nightlife culture of Japan. Even if one is already somewhat familiar of these things in the age of Internet and online videos, a lot of new, interesting information was given and some things can only be experienced first-hand.

Cool Japan - History - History, trivia, sightseeing, and comedy all rolled onto one! Meshida-san, the ever gracious host, playfully enlightens as he teaches the history of not only Yoshiwara but of an entire nation. An experience worthwhile for all who want to know Japan better and get a laugh in while they're at it.

Great english show and fun gathering! - If you got lost in translation in Japan, then there is no other event like this one for you. It is an English speaking stand up comedy show that allows you to have fun and learn more about Japanese culture. Also, a great way to meet new friends. I am grateful to Meshida! You will understand my appreciation after you attend the show, and especially the tour in Yoshiwara! Wink wink…

Great experience, funny and informative - This was my second experience seeing meshida, and it was a great experience. Meshida is not only funny but very knowledgeable on the "darker" side of japan, and going on this comedy quiz plus walking tour you learn a lot about japans oldest red light district. Meshidas events are also a great way to meet people who are fun and outgoing, if you are in tokyo and want a night of fun with good memories you absolutely need to check out meshida

One of kind tour - In his trademark passionate and funny style, Meshida shares interesting nuggets of information not found on the Internet. The tour of Yoshiwara, the 'grand daddy' of red light districts in Japan, is eye opening. Location is a little out of the way.
