Wonderful day at Kemeri Great Bog & Jurmala - We only had a short day in Riga from our cruise. Rolands helped us make the best of it with a fun hike through the incredible Kemeri Great Bog. We got a bonus side trip in a swamp area which was very different from the big. The visit to Jurmala surprised us with an amazing beach. We managed to squeeze in a brief visit to old town Riga before we had to leave. Rolands is an excellent representative of Latvia. He was kind, patient and professional. We learned so much and will be glad to return one day to take more tours!

Excellent! - We really enjoyed this excursion. Our tour guide Rolands was very friendly and informative. We were picked up from our hotel at 9am and returned at 2pm. In total we were 4 people, us plus another couple. The guided walk on the boardwalk around Kermeri Bog was spectacular! We were also lucky enough to see some wildlife including a Stork, Crane and Lizard! After we finished the 4km walk Rolands offered us some traditional Latvian sweets and tea. We were pleased we opted to do the Jurmala extension where Rolands drove us through the town pointing out things to see before we made a short stop at a viewpoint overlooking Jurmala and then on the beautiful sandy beach to see the Gulf of Riga. Rolands gave us the option to stay on in Jurmala and make our own way back if we wanted, but we were happy to travel back with him as we had other things planned. Throughout the tour Rolands gave us all the relative information about what we needed to see and know and also gave some general information about Latvia. He was happy to take photos of us during the trip and shared with us on WhatsApp afterwards. There were basic toilet facilities at the National Park and beach. But bring your own bottle of water and wear comfy outdoor walking clothes (walking boots not required, trainers are fine). We would thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone wanting to see more of Latvia beyond Riga.

Great experience walking along the boardwalks at Kemeri Bog, and an amazing beach at Jurmala! - Great experience! Rolands was very knowledgable and we felt comfortable asking lots of questions. Kemeri and Jurmala were beautiful places, definitely worth having a guide who knows all about them!

Breathtaking Trip to Kemeri - During our stay in Riga, we decided to explore the surrounding areas, and our journey through the Kemeri National Park, followed by a visit to Jurmala Beach, was truly enchanting—both educational and unforgettable. The experience was elevated by our guide, Rolands, whose warmth, reliability, and deep knowledge of the park's natural wonders and Latvia’s rich history made the day even more special. We wholeheartedly recommend this tour and, without a doubt, would take it again in a heartbeat!

Kemeri Great Bog and Jurmala Visit - Latvia was such a surprise to us! Beautiful country with amazing national forests. In particular, the Kemeri Great Bog is an experience not to be missed! Certainly one of the most unique places in the world you can visit. Our tour was made even more memorable by our tour guide, Rolands. He shared alot of interesting facts and made the entire day out very fun. The stars aligned for us because we were so lucky to have had the entire park to ourselves when we were there. Highly recommended! 5 out of 5.

Excellent trip out to nature from Riga with expert Guide, Rolands - Excellent trip out to nature from Riga with a very professional and personable guide Rolands. Pick up direct from hotel with only around 45 minute drive to the wetlands area which was a real delight of tranquility and a unique ecosystem. Rolands has considerable techinal knowledge of the wetlands and its preservation to enhance the trip experience. The beach at Jurmala was also a revelation of an expansive stretch of pristine and unspoilt coastline and beach. Tour and Rolands, highly recommended.

Fantastic half day tour!... - Fantastic half day tour! Roland was a brilliant guide-energetic, knowledgeable, and personable. This is a fairly easy walk (even older folks could probably handle it without much issue, but the trail is not wheelchair accessible.) Be sure to wear the right shoes and you'll have a brilliant time away from the city!

Great trip highly recommended!! - Fantastic morning spent visiting the Kemeri raised bog. A great way to spend a few hours outside of the city. Our guide Rolands was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He explained everything we wanted to know as we walked through the bog and took lots of great photos for us (which he sent immediately after the trip). He also provided some nice refreshments at the end of the walk. Would highly recommend the trip and Rolands as a guide!!
