• Kemeri National Park - The Kemeri Bog, over 8000 years old, ranks among Latvia’s largest bogs. In 2013, a boardwalk was established to guide visitors through the bog’s most picturesque areas. This path immerses visitors in a world of moss, small pine trees, deep pools, tiny dark lakes, and the fragrance of wild rosemary. Observant visitors may spot the carnivorous sundew plant and various birds, including wood sandpipers, white wagtails, and tree pipits, while cranes can be heard in the distance. For those preferring a shorter walk, a 1.4 km route is available, while the 3.4 km great arc offers the chance to ascend an observation platform for a stunning view of the bog.
• Jurmala Open-Air Museum - The tour continues at the Open-Air Museum, which narrates the transformation of Jurmala from a simple fishing village near Riga into a premier resort of the Russian Empire. Visitors will learn about the traditional lifestyle of fishermen and the leisure activities of the Czar and his court.
• Dzintari Forest Park - Located in Jurmala, Dzintari Forest Park is ideal for both active recreation enthusiasts and those who enjoy a leisurely walk in the fresh pine air. Its most prized feature is a 200-year-old pine grove and protected habitats that have remained untouched. A 36-meter-high watchtower in the park’s center offers panoramic views of the Baltic Sea, dunes, pines, the city of Jūrmala, and, on clear days, parts of Riga.
  Afterward, the guide will take visitors to a local restaurant to sample both traditional and modern Latvian cuisine.
• Jomas Street - Jomas iela (Jomas Street) is the vibrant heart of Jurmala. Each summer, holidaymakers flock to this main street, believed to be where the Jurmala Resort originated. When Jurmala was primarily sandy expanses, the wind shaped dunes and valleys, one of which became Jomas iela. This pedestrian street, over a kilometer long, hosts the town’s finest boutiques and most popular cafés and restaurants.
  Along the way, enjoy Jurmala’s wooden architecture, a city hallmark for centuries. These charming buildings lead directly to the most popular beach, so remember to bring swimwear if planning to swim.
