- University of Jyvaskyla - The tour continues with a guided walk of approximately 2 kilometers to the Jyväskylä University Campus and the main building. Visitors will see numerous buildings designed by Alvar Aalto, with the guide providing insights into the architecture. The main building will be visited inside.
- Säynätsalo - Emphasizing sustainability, the next stop is Säynätsalo, reached via a 35-minute local bus ride, offering an authentic local experience.
- Juurikka Catering Oy - Upon arrival on Säyntsalo island, a buffet lunch will be served at Restaurant Juurikkasaari, conveniently located within walking distance from the bus stop.
- Saynatsalo Town Hall - Following lunch, a guide will lead a scenic one-kilometer urban nature walk to the Säynätsalo Town Hall for a 45-minute guided tour.
Säynätsalo Town Hall is a significant work by Finnish architect Alvar Aalto, known for its integration with the surrounding nature and community. In the late ‘40s, this project was a major undertaking for the small municipality of Säynätsalo, a village of 3,000 residents spread across three small, yet industrialized islands.
