Amazing sunset - We got picked up by the Airbnb where we stayed in a big tourist, comfortable bus. We visited the places as described and one more monastery where we had to hike a bit to get to. It was very enjoyable and amazing sunset. In conclusion, we enjoyed the tour. We also joined another tour the next day visiting 3 monasteries so in comparison, this tour leader we got for the sunset tour, we didn’t think he explained the history enough. He practically had “nothing” to say.

Great guided trip with terrific guide & driver - It is quite a long trip (nearly 4.5 hrs from pick up and drop off, with a fair amount of twisting roads in nice minicoach. But this guide and driver (Vassilika was the guide) were both excellent both in term's of knowledge and english. The Sunset Trip we did included a stop for about 40 minutes at Ag Stefanos Monastary which is inhabited by Nuns not Monks and has the easiest foot access. It was lovely, and as with Churches, interior photos or videos cannot be taken. The grounds and views are lovely, as were the interiors our trip also included the Byzantine Church of the Holy Virgin-very interesting history and secret garden residents! We also made a stop at The Hermit Caves, sadly roo steep for me and my husband to walk up to, so 3 of us stayed at the bottom. The group were up there about an hour. We made a number of stops along the way for photo stops, ending at ‘Sunset rock’ to clamber onto the rocks (be careful) but aadly the sunset was too shy and hidden behind heavy clouds today! But the view was still awe inspiring. The tour operator ‘Meteora Thrones’ also offer tours in other languages, morning tours and trekking trips. They all offer different monastery visits. Thank you!💙🇬🇷

Impeccable, very inviting guide and having answer to all - Very rewarding tour with a passionate guide and giving interesting explanations & anecdotes about the different monasteries and the Meteor region. One thing not controlled: the weather but we still managed to see a sunset between the clouds 😊. What to do if you come to this amazing region

Majestic sunset - The tour was excellent. Knowledgeable guide, excellent driver and well paced tour. We visited all 6 monasteries, and went inside St Stephen’s. We saw many relics of hermitic life, with a short walk to better view some of these sites. And the sunset was majestic!

Sunset Tour - The tour began with the guide speaking far too quickly and being hard to understand. She didn’t accompany us in the monastery visit. But, as the tour went on she became more engaged with us and her talk became much more interesting and informative. The tour itself was a bit too long but was quite comprehensive except for the monastery.

Sunset tour - Comfortable tour with pick up from your accommodation ideal for those who have little time to visit this magnificent area. A full immersion of 4 abundant hours with a lot of condensed information. Although we were unlucky with the weather that did not allow us to admire the sunset, the view was still priceless. Thanks to the guide Maria and the driver Dino.
