Amazing tour with lots of sight seeing and less walking involved - This tour is the perfect choice if you've been doing a lot of travelling and driving like we had and still want to go sight-seeing but with less walking involved. It was great to be driven to all the sights and have someone explain the history behind it all. Vasiliki was incredibly knowledgeable and over-all a great tour guide, as was our awesome driver Nikos. It was a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this tour! Looking forward to visiting again and doing the morning tour.

Great - Due to farmer's break, It was a long time to get Meteora from Athens. Our guide, Rula, gave us time for photos and good advises. Our driver, Nikos, made a stop in order to get some meals. Both of them, very kind. Meteora, just wow.

Worth the drive from Athens - a must see! - Unbelievable tour!!! The sights were otherworldly and the guide was very knowledgeable and kind. We were able to visit the inside one of the monasteries and the Byzantine church. The driver made lots of roadside stops to allow us to take photos which I really appreciated.

Beautiful experience - Clement was a great guide through our first day visiting the monasteries. His excitement in sharing his knowledge made for an awesome day.
Booked hotel room through the company and it was simple &lovely with excellent breakfast.
Second day we did the hiking tour which was nice because didn’t want to spend any more time in a bus for a bit. You don’t get to visit as many monasteries but you do get to see them from a different vantage point.

The Meteoras - We did the morning visit of the monasteries and the sunset tour. Even if the weather was not on our side that morning, Alexandra our local guide, make It worthit in the morning. At sunset the clouds had time to clear up a bit and the experience was even better, thanks.

Consider going on your own... - 2 tips for attendees: #1 dress code must be observed to enter the monastery, #2 monasteries and churches charge an additional entrance fee that is not disclosed ahead time. The tour we participated in allowed for entry into 1 monastery, however we personally witnessed larger tour groups pushing to the front of the line to enter the monastery ahead of our group that did not have a guide pushing ahead of everyone else. It was quite frustrating to see other guides advocating for their group when ours did not. We were not able to see the interior of the 1 monastery that was identified for our tour because of the excessive vistorship of a single monastery. The government, Orthodox church and tour operators appear to act without limits to the number of visitors which negatively impacts visitors. If we go again, we would go independently early in the day and avoid the tour group rush.
