A fun activity. - If you want to give your legs a break from all that climbing to the monasteries, this will be a good activity. We had a great time strolling in the forest (running after Benfry the truffle hunting dog is optional lol). At 10 am we followed the guides for about 10 minute drive to the site (2 of them: 1 up front & 1 at the back to make sure no one get lost.). Once arrived the hunt started with Benfry leading & sniffing away. 1 of the guide speaks English so we were not as lost among Greek speakers.
Lunch was cooked after the hunt. It was delicious with shaved just picked truffles, yum!
Sorry I was bad with names so cannot recall any body’s name but they were all warm, friendly & knowledgeable about truffles & mushrooms.
It was a blast for the children, especially with Benfry the dog.

Fun Day! - What a fun and unique experience! We followed Lara(dog) as she sniffed out truffles and returned them to her handler. Learned a lot and enjoyed being in the woods. The truffle pasta meal was delicious!

Expensive & Fantastic! Tolis & Alex rock - Expensive. Excellent. Apostoli and Alex are excellent hosts! The hunt with the dog is over so quickly. The outdoor meal is exquisite, tasty and helps cut the sting of this €700 fee. The museum and tour with Maria is fantastic. It’s very high quality to be sure. Go at least once!

Hunting in the forest - Amazing experience with horses in the woods with oats and platanias! Followed a truffle hunt with Alexander and his beautiful truffle dog and then we tried the excellent macaronade with wild mushrooms and truffles that the excellent chef prepared for us! It is worth visiting the mushroom museum in Meteora/Kalambaka! Very good effort worth arranging!

Excellent hunting and lunch - Truffle hunting with the dog was fun and the mushroom pasta lunch was excellent. Lunch was very relaxing. The guide and the cook were very pleasant.

Delicious Lunch - Visited as part of a small group tour of 14 with our guide .
We had done a similar experience in France so knew what to expect.
Everything about this afternoon was perfect.
We started with a tour of the Mushroom Museum & Natural History Museum . Both were interesting with some amazing exhibits.
We were then driven to a forest area to meet Lara our truffle hunting dog . These are a special Italian breed . Very friendly & good at her job
A lovely area set out with tables & chairs , beer , wine , soft drinks & water which were generously supplied while we watched the pasta dish being cooked . There were many sorts of marinated mushrooms to try with crusty bread .
Lots of truffles & truffle oil used in the preparation of the pasta. It was delicious .
A lovely afternoon.

Beside of the Meteora Monasteries the most interesting event. - Perfect organized, very interesting, delicious truffle meal. Also the mushroom museum at Kalambaka You have to see. Next time again

Wonderful experience - We had a pleasant walk with doggy Lala today. She did the hunting, and after which the sumptuous lunch was prepared on the spot. We are served pasta with white wine and a variety of mushrooms. Great experience not to be missed!

Lovely and charming experience. A must if in the area! - Lovely and charming experience. Yiannis and Vasili were great guides and you can't not mention the true hero, Lara, the truffle hunting dog who is a delight. She was so expert and quick at hunting for truffles and our session yielded many of them! The experience finished with a lovely meal: truffle and mushroom pasta made by the lovely Alexandra. Well worth it if you're staying in the area. They also provided a gluten-free and dairy-free option for me for the lunch with was very kind.
