Food Tour with Dora - We really enjoyed our food tour with Dora. She is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Kalamata. The food stops were local family operations and we loved hearing about the history. We sampled some delicious and local food. Thank you Dora!

We highly recommend this - Our family spent a lovely morning with our guide Dora, who was very knowledgeable and passionate about Greek food. What made the whole experience even more authentic is that we returned to the old town of Kalamata the next day and bumped into Dora and several of the shopkeepers just walking around town. These people are the real thing :)

Sara our tour guide was... - Sara our tour guide was excellent! She loves Kalamata and the beautiful food and family history in this area! She gave us alot of information on the local markets and culture in the region. Food feeds your soul! Thank you for dancing with us and making us laugh all morning. We left with full bellies, don’t eat beforehand! Thank you Sara!!!

I don’t know if I had to write this in English or not? Sorry! - The guide Sara was very nice and knowledgeable, the company friendly and I enjoyed the visits with the traders. A small downside for which you are not responsible: tell the baker to present herself to visitors with a clean apron, that is the least you can do, but I forgive her!

Great experience, highly recommend! - We booked this tour on a whim, only a few days in advance. Within a day, the tour group messaged us with our tour guide's name and asked if we had any dietary restrictions or questions before we started. On the day of our tour, we met Sara at a beautiful church, and she gave us a little bit of history on the church and the square before we went to our first stop. We saw local art and the huge farmers' market. We tried regional delicacies, produce, and traditional dishes. Sara said it was better to have no food than bad food, and she was correct! Every dish we had was perfectly done and better than the food we had tried on our own before the tour. We walked between stops so the food had time to settle before eating more, and the order was well thought out. We learned a lot about food in Greece and the traditions around Kalamata. We also got great suggestions for more places to visit while in the city. I highly recommend doing this tour early in your stay, and asking for Sara!

Amazing food tour - We came to Kalamata to celebrate my 30th birthday with 2 friends, we all are in love with greek cuisine and when we saw there was a food tour we booked it right away easily through TripAdvisor! We had the best time!! It was all because of Sofia our guide, she told us everything we needed to know and took us to all the best spots in the city for real traditional kalamata delicacies! The company told us to avoid eating breakfast before the tour and this is a must as you get soo much food during tour you don't want to ruin it by eating before hand! Couldn't recommend this more and Sofia was great and very professional while still making us feel like we had a day out with a new friend.

This experience is not to... - This experience is not to be missed if you’re visiting Kalamata - it really made my stay there unforgettable! From the countless exquisite specialities (both food & beverages) that you’ll get to taste during the tour, to the fantastic kindness and patience that Sofia displays, together with the friendliness of all the passionate shop tenants you’ll meet along the way: everything was perfect! Prepare your stomachs as it’s totally worth the price, you’ll leave feeling full for the day - even vegetarians, who will feel well catered for, just like I was :)

GREAT experience - Very sweet guide that could tell a mor about the city and food. Great places that we visited and we were so full of expressions and food when the tour ended. I often attend Food Tours in the cities that I visit and this one was one of the best. So thank you Sofia and keep up the good work🫶🏻 -Kirsa-
