From Farm to Table: A Perfect Olive Oil Experience - We had a wonderful experience on this olive oil tour and would highly recommend it. My best friend had done an olive oil tour in Italy, and I really wanted to experience one for myself, so this was the perfect opportunity.
We arrived at 10:00 and were warmly welcomed by Marianna on her family’s olive farm. She took the time to introduce us to the trees and explain the history of the family business, which immediately made the experience feel personal and authentic.
We were then met by Melani, who had prepared a beautiful spread of traditional foods using Oleosophia olive oil. Everything was fresh and delicious including dolmades, a savory chicken pie, tomatoes, tzatziki, hummus, olives, and a variety of breads.
One of the highlights was learning how to properly taste olive oil. Marianna guided us through a tasting of four different oils, teaching us how to identify flavors, aromas, and quality. It was incredibly interesting and something we will definitely remember and use in the future.
The setting itself was absolutely beautiful. The views were breathtaking, and the outdoor atmosphere felt warm, relaxed, and welcoming. It made the entire experience even more special.
Marianna’s passion for olive oil and her enthusiasm for sharing her knowledge really stood out. This was not just a tasting. It was a thoughtful, hands on learning experience in a stunning environment. We had a fantastic time and will truly cherish the experience.
It is about a 1.5 hour drive from downtown Athens. We rented a car and had no trouble arriving on time for the 10:00 start. The drive is straightforward, though there are tolls along the highway.

Olive oil 101! - This experience was amazing! Marianna provided such good guidance, history and personal insights about the olive oil making process and the oil itself, while chef Melina provided us with delicious foods and pairings centered around the oils. Informative, friendly, welcoming and just an all around special time- especially set amongst the olive trees.

Highly recommend! Amazing tour/tasting… - My husband and I went with two friends to Oleosophia for an olive oil tasting experience. What an amazing experience! Awesome views and gracious hostesses. Marianna (owner) and her friend Melina set a lovely table for our tasting experience with bread, tzatziki, grapes, yogurt, oranges, olives cooked with sugar(an unexpected delicious treat), water (to cleanse the palate), etc.
Marianna was an excellent teacher regarding all things olive… how the trees are cared for and harvested, how to correctly taste and evaluate olive oils, and how to pair other food items with olive oils. She put out various olive oils out for us to sample. We learned how to evaluate bouquet, level of bitterness, and level of pungent taste. We also learned how to identify if an oil was subquality and even rancid.
Both Marianna and Melina were warm and personable and passionate about the Oleosophia products. The oils and grape syrup products we sampled were delicious and we have placed the first of many orders with them!

Unforgettable Olive Oil Tasting – A Must-Do Day Trip from Athens! - This olive oil tasting at Oleosophia was one of the highlights of our trip to Greece!
From the very beginning, Marianna welcomed us with warmth and genuine passion. She is so knowledgeable and answered every question with enthusiasm, making the experience feel personal and engaging. You can tell she truly loves what she does.
The setting is stunning — right in the middle of the olive groves — which makes it feel authentic and far from the usual tourist stops. We tasted several different olive oils, guided step by step on how to appreciate their flavors. On top of that, the food served alongside was extremely generous, much more than we expected. For the quality and quantity, the value is outstanding. Honestly, it feels like it should cost more.
This is not a “standard” tasting; it is a genuine cultural and culinary experience, with award-winning products of the highest quality.
Practical tips for travelers:
• It’s about a 90-minute drive from Athens, perfect as a day trip or stopover when exploring the Peloponnese.
• Easy to combine with nearby villages and sites, so you can make a full day of it.
• Parking was simple and convenient.
• Family-friendly — our young child also enjoyed being there.
• Best to book in advance to secure your spot, as the experience feels small and personalized.
I would recommend this experience to absolutely anyone — food lovers, families, couples, or anyone who wants to connect with Greek culture in a meaningful way. Definitely worth the detour!

Book now! You won’t regret it! - Wonderful experience. The kids enjoyed it and we learned so much about olive oil and the process! Book this tour; you won’t regret it! The Olive grove is family owned and the group was so nice and helpful. Marianna is super sweet and their olive oil is delicious!

The BEST Olive Oil Tour & Tasting in Athens - My hubby and I decided to book a last minute olive oil tour & tasting for my parents and especially after a month traveling around Europe. They had no idea or what to expect during this tour but my oh my, days have passed and until now they continue to share stories with a smile on their faces and how happy they are that they get to see this once in a lifetime olive oil tour and tasting experience. My dad is 70 yrs old and while mommy is 63 and English as not their 1st language but Marianna adjusted and catered for them and have explained everything so thoroughly and passionately. They definitely enjoyed this private Olive tour and understanding the process and the quality of olive oil they produce is just to the highest quality ever! Marianna definitely went above and beyond and they felt home. She was very accommodating and even arranged a winery visit for me and my hubby after. We ended up buying 6 bottles of olive oil and will definitely order more and have it shipped to the USA! Such a gem and a blessing to be able to take them here! I am sure you will enjoy and feel the same way too!

A delicious moment - We spent a privileged time with Marianna and her chef Melina.
We were able to discover the types of olive oil production, the appellations, which makes the quality of an olive oil. The tasting taught us even more, accompanied by small excellent dishes. This experience even reconciled my spouse with olive oil. A great experience in Greece today! To do!

Not just a business but a philosophy of healthy living among the olive trees. - From start to finish a truly amazing experience. Marianna was so warm and friendly and did an incredible job at both conveying her passion for her beautiful family business as well as teaching us so much about how the olives grow , are harvested and then made into olive oil. I loved the tasting under the gazebo and I feel now I will be so much more knowledgeable on how to purchase and appreciate olive oil. Very worth the price/ beautiful tranquil setting. This is a must do! I will return !
