Enjoy a serene and picturesque swim on the Žiema River. The river meanders through sand dunes, ensuring crystal-clear waters. The shores are largely untouched, with a few charming villages scattered along the way. Pine forests predominantly line the banks, offering numerous cozy, furnished, and natural resting spots. The swim begins at the designated meeting point, which is also our kayak rental location, allowing for flexible arrival times. Most participants start their swim between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. The swimming distance covers 18 km, with the journey, including breaks, taking approximately 5 hours. After the swim, convenient transportation is provided for a swift return.

We offer special lightweight paddles designed for children.

Life jackets are available in all sizes, accommodating everyone from the smallest (starting at 10 kg) to 140 kg.

Our rental kayaks feature a flat-bottom design, similar to canoes, ensuring stability and making them difficult to capsize. A child seat (suitable for children up to about 4 years old) can be added in the middle of the double kayak.

• From the capital Vilnius, you can take a tram to Švenčionėliai. From Švenčionėliai, we can take you to the start of the swim at our kayak rental point in Kalatanėnai for an additional fee (about €4/person).
