Enjoy a serene and picturesque swim on the Žiema River. The river meanders through sand dunes, ensuring crystal-clear waters. The shores are largely untouched, with a few charming villages scattered along the way. Pine forests predominantly line the banks, offering numerous cozy, furnished, and natural resting spots. The swim begins at the designated meeting point, which is also our kayak rental location, allowing for flexible arrival times. Most participants start their swim between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. The swimming distance covers 18 km, with the journey, including breaks, taking approximately 5 hours. After the swim, convenient transportation is provided for a swift return.

The commencement of the swim is at our rendezvous place, which is our kayak leasing point. Hence, you are free to come whenever it is most suitable for you.

We provide exclusive light-density paddles specifically designed for kids.

We offer life vests in a full range of sizes. They range from those designed for the little ones (from 10 kg) up to 140 kg.

Our leasing kayaks have a flat base akin to canoes making them firm and less likely to capsize. There’s an extra seat in the middle of the double kayak that can hold a young child (up to approximately 4 years old).

• From the capital Vilnius, you can take a tram to Švenčionėliai. From Švenčionėliai, we can take you to the start of the swim at our kayak rental point in Kalatanėnai for an additional fee (about €4/person).
