Amazing guided tour of Kamakura shrines and temples - My guide An couldn't have given me a better day! We started off by walking through some beautiful temples with their own unique qualities (statues, gardens, flowers). We even had lunch at a restaraunt next to Kencho-ji temple. Next we moved into the mountains via an ancient trail. Here we visited several wonderful shrines, and even participated in some of the rituals. An was extremely knowledgeable of the history of every place we visited. We finally wrapped up at Kotoku-in and saw the huge Buddha statue. Finally, An finished the tour by treating me to ice cream. Thank you for such a great day, An!

Amazing Kamakura with An - We all enjoyed our tour with An. An was in contact shortly after we booked, and suggested some sites to visit. She promptly met us at our hotel in Yokohama and guided us to Kamakura via train. We visited the Hase-dera Temple and the Great Buddha as well as the Hachimangu Shrine. We also had a lovely Japanese meal in a nice restaurant. Highly recommend this tour. Thank you An for a lovely day.

A Mot Excellent Kamakura Walking Tour! - Exactly what I wanted & requested! Takako spoke very good/understandable English (she's a teacher) and went above-and-beyond to make my visit exactly what I desired. We visited the Kencho-ji Temple, the Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, the Hokoku-ji Temple (with the bamboo grove), the Kotoku-in Temple (with The Great Buddha statue) and the Hase-dera Temple (with the 11-headed Kannon statue). A side benefit: I quickly became comfortable using the local train/bus systems (important for my solo trip into downtown Tokyo two days later). And be aware: while you can tailor the trip howsoever you wish, there is potentially quite a bit of walking - so take into account your personal fitness & stamina. Highly recommended tour & guide - arigato!

The best day, ever. - We are so glad we decided to have a private guide to Kamakura. Takako was fun to be with, knowledge, and flexible in making the visit unique to us. After four days of walking, we both had legs that did not want long walks. Takako came up with solutions, and when we wanted a dining experience overlooking the Pacific Ocean, she knew a perfect place. We covered our bucket list and more, thanks to Takako. It's a day to remember for a long time.

A lot of walking, but... - A lot of walking, but there was a ton to see in Kamakura. Our guide, Koba, was friendly and very knowledgeable. He let us set our pace and was very open when we wanted to spend more or less time at any of the stops. We’d highly recommend a tour of beautiful and historicKamakura, and our guide Koba

Sam was our guide for... - Sam was our guide for this tour and he was amazing! We arrived at the port of Yokohama and he met us there. He guided us through all of the public transportation to arrive in Kamakura. I was with my mom who is in her late 80s. Sam was kind and took his time with our tour. We stopped when we needed to and he wasn’t frustrated with us or in a hurry. We ate at a wonderful local tempura restaurant. We were back to the port in plenty of time. I would not hesitate doing this trip again. It was a nice clear day and on our way back to Yokohama, he suggested going to the top of the Landmark hotel to see amazing views.

Magic in Kamakura - Excellent educational and stunning temple and shrine tour led by Atsuko (An). Kamakura is a bit of a magical seaside locale. An provided excellent perspectives on how its religious and historical origins influence Japanese living to this day. Also, the local shirasu sushi and salads are truly outstanding delicacies. Highly recommend this day tour from Tokyo!

Amazing Tour Guide Makes All The Difference! - Did a tour of Enoshima Island and the surrounding temples and shrines. Beautiful area of Japan and amazing views from the Island itself. But what really made the tour stand out for us was our tour guide An. She was so considerate and informative we just learned so much about the history at the area from her. She was even willing to stay beyond the 6 hours to help us complete the items on the tour. And to help us ensure we had the right trains should get back to Yokohama. She really made the day enjoyable and complete for us. Highly recommend the tour and unquestionably recommend touring with An if she is available.
