Murchison Falls National Park - In the early morning, the Uganda gorilla safaris team will collect guests from their chosen hotel or guesthouse and transport them to Murchison Falls National Park. Journey to Murchison Falls National Park.
Murchison Falls National Park - In the early morning, the Uganda gorilla safaris team will collect guests from their chosen hotel or guesthouse and transport them to Murchison Falls National Park. A lunch stop is planned in Masindi, followed by a 90 km drive through the park towards Paraa. En route, there will be a visit to the Top of the Falls, offering a stunning view of Murchison Falls and the Nile. Arrival in Paraa is expected late in the afternoon, where Luxury Tour participants will cross the Nile by ferry to reach Paraa Safari Lodge.
For Budget Tour guests, a stop at Ziwa Rhinos Sanctuary is included for rhino tracking and lunch before continuing via Karuma Bridge to arrive later in the afternoon at Fort Murchison, just outside the park boundaries. The day will conclude with a refreshing drink and a magnificent view over the Nile, accompanied by the sounds of an African night.

Murchison Falls National Park - Enjoy game viewing around the park and along the Nile. A game drive from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon will showcase various animals, including lions and giraffes. In the afternoon (2:00 pm to 5:00 pm), an impressive launch trip on the Nile up to the Falls will provide opportunities to see hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, and a wide variety of birds!
Game Drive In Murchison Falls National Park
Murchison Falls National Park - Early in the morning, a boat will take guests downstream to the Delta, where the Nile meets Lake Albert. This 5-6 hour trip will reveal the beauty of the national park, especially the delta with its diverse birdlife. It’s a great chance to spot the elusive Shoebill Stork! In the afternoon, guests can relax, and those on the Luxury Tour can enjoy a swim at their respective lodges.
Journey to Kibale Forest National Park.
Kibale National Park - Departing early in the morning for Kibale Forest, the journey will pass close to Lake Albert, offering spectacular views from the top of the Albert Rift on a clear day. Arrival at Kibale Forest Camp is expected in the afternoon, where guests will sleep surrounded by the sounds of the tropical rainforest. Sometimes, accommodation is at Chimpanzee Guesthouse, overlooking Nyabikere Crater Lake, known for its frogs that provide a beautiful nighttime concert.

Kibale National Park - At 8:00 am, a 4-hour chimp walk begins, with the possibility of seeing 10 other primates! Kibale Park is also renowned for its butterflies and birds. In the afternoon, a walk through Bigodi Swamp, home to a community-based project, is planned.
Journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Queen Elizabeth National Park - Departing early in the morning for Queen Elizabeth NP, the route passes through Fort Portal, reaching Mweya in Queen Elizabeth NP by midday, offering a breathtaking view over Kazinga Channel. Guests will check in at their accommodation and have lunch, followed by a late afternoon (4:00-7:00 pm) game drive.

Queen Elizabeth National Park - This day is dedicated to a game drive on the plains of Queen Elizabeth NP, featuring thousands of Ugandan kobs, lions, elephants, and more. Also included is a two-hour launch trip on the Kazinga Channel, providing views of animals from the waterside.

Kyambura Game Reserve (Kyambura Gorge) - On the second day in this beautiful park, an early morning visit to Kyambura Gorge is planned. Guests can embark on a 3-4 hour walk into the Gorge to encounter chimpanzees. After lunch at Jacana Safari Lodge, a 2-hour drive to the Southern sector of Queen Elizabeth, known as Ishasha Sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions, is scheduled. An afternoon game drive will search for these unique lions.
Journey to Bwindi Forest National Park
Queen Elizabeth National Park - In the morning, a game drive will focus on finding the unique tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. In the afternoon, the journey continues to Bwindi, passing through Kihihi and traveling through mountains, hills, and lakes with cultivated terraces and tropical rainforests.
Mountain Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest - At Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, a pre-briefing at 7:45 am precedes the 8:30 am start of the gorilla trek. Once the mountain gorillas are located, guests can spend up to one hour with them! Return to the starting point is expected by 7:00 pm at the latest.
Journey to Lake Bunyonyi.
Lake Bunyonyi - The drive to Lake Bunyonyi, a picturesque location surrounded by the hills of Western Uganda, is planned. Lake Bunyonyi is renowned for its birds, otters, and delicious crayfish. The rest of the day can be spent swimming, canoeing, or simply relaxing while observing over 300 bird species from the veranda (binoculars recommended)!
Journey to Kisoro.
Kasese - Early in the morning, the journey to Kisoro begins, traversing a stunning landscape often referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa”: mountains, lakes, hills with cultivated terraces, tropical rainforests, and bamboo forests. The landscape unfolds from the last hill, revealing the vast plains between Uganda, Rwanda, and Congo, with the Virunga volcanoes dominating the view. At the valley’s bottom lies Kisoro, where guests will stay at the renowned Travellers Rest Hotel.
In the 1960s, the famous American ‘gorilla-woman’ Dian Fossey frequently visited the Travellers Rest Hotel for paperwork, relaxation, or socializing. Fossey described the hotel as “my second home.” Travellers Rest Hotel, located just outside Kisoro, offers a cozy stay for tourists visiting the endangered mountain gorillas. Built in a somewhat colonial style and fully renovated in 1999, the hotel provides a comfortable ambiance.

Rwenzori Mountains National Park - A cultural village walk with a local guide through the land of the Bufumbira tribe is planned. A walk to Lake Mutanda, a visit to Python Island, and canoeing on this beautiful lake are included. The Batwa Trail starts at the base of Mt Muhavura at 8:00 am and concludes by 3-4 pm. Walking shoes, a hat, raingear, and a packed lunch with sufficient drinks are recommended.

Mgahinga Gorilla National Park - Climbing Muhavura Volcano (± 8 hrs; distance 12km; height 4127m; elevation gain 1700m). Climbing Gahinga Volcano (± 6 hrs; distance 8km; height 3474m; elevation gain 1100m). Visit to Sabinyo Gorge (± 4 hrs; distance 6km, no elevation gain). Climbing Sabinyo Volcano (Sabinyo has three peaks, all climbable in the same walk, but fitness is required! ± 8 hrs; distance 14 km; height 3669m, elevation gain 1300 m). Hiking in Mgahinga to the viewpoint and Garama Cave (pygmy cave) (± 4 hrs; distance 1 and 4 km).
Journey to Lake Mburo National Park for a Wildlife Game Safari.
Lake Mburo National Park - Departing early in the morning for Lake Mburo National Park, guests will have lunch in Mbarara before continuing to Lake Mburo, a smaller yet unique park, and the only one in Western Uganda with impalas and zebras. An evening game-viewing drive is planned in the park.
Return to Kampala
Uganda Equator - In the morning, a game drive or walk is scheduled, followed by a late breakfast. The final leg of the journey will return guests to Kampala. Lunch will be in Mbarara town, and after Masaka, there will be an opportunity to stop at the Equator for photos, souvenir shopping, and enjoying tea or coffee.
