Day 1: Journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park (417 Kms)

After enjoying breakfast, travel westward through Uganda’s stunning green landscapes to reach Queen Elizabeth National Park. The trip will take approximately 6-7 hours, with stops at tourist attractions such as the Royal Drum makers’ village and the Equator, where you can stand in both hemispheres simultaneously. Continue through the savannah grasslands, passing numerous banana plantations and herds of the local long-horned Ankole cattle, unique to this region. Arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park in the evening, with an overnight stay at Bush Lodge (Budget Tent).

Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise

Start the day early with breakfast before heading into the jungle for your first game drive, offering the chance to see a variety of animals including lions, leopards, elephants, and Cape buffaloes. Return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, embark on a two-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which links Lakes George and Edward, to observe large groups of hippos, elephants, and crocodiles, among others. You’ll also spot numerous bird species along the water’s edge. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Bush Lodge (Budget Tent).

Day 3: Second Game Drive and Travel to Kibale Forest National Park

Rise early for a morning game drive in the park, where you can see lions, elephants, topis, leopards, bushbucks, Cape buffaloes, Defassa waterbucks, giant forest hogs, and Uganda kobs, among others. On the drive to Kibale National Park, enjoy the breathtaking view of the legendary “Mountains of the Moon,” clearly visible on the road to Fort Portal. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Kibale Forest Camp (Budget Tent).

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bird Watching

After breakfast, head to Kibale Forest National Park to observe the primates. The activity begins at 8:00 am with a briefing on the rules for trekking chimpanzees, followed by a search for them in the forest. This half-day activity also offers sightings of other primates such as grey-cheeked mangabeys, phoestes, red colobus, and blue-tailed and red-tailed monkeys swinging through the forest branches. Your guide will provide informative briefings on the lifestyles of the primates, as well as the plants, insects, and butterflies in the forest, ensuring an enjoyable and educational trek. Return to the lodge at Kibale Forest Camp (Budget Tent).

Day 5: Return to Entebbe via Kampala

After breakfast, set off to return to Kampala and then Entebbe International Airport to catch your evening flight home, leaving with unforgettable memories.
