Journey Westward to Bwindi Forest National Park
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - The adventure begins early in the morning with a 516km (10-hour) drive to the southwestern region of Uganda, heading towards Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Along the route, there will be a stop at the EQUATOR in Masaka Kayabwe for some memorable photos. Additional stops include Mbarara City and the scenic view of Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale along the Kisoro highway.
- Overnight: Kitandara Luxury Tented Camp (Buhoma) or Gorilla Safari Lodge (standard)
Uganda Equator - Pause at the Equator in Kayabwe Masaka for a photo opportunity.
Mbarara - Stop in Mbarara for a quick refill.
Lake Bunyonyi - Pause along the Kisoro highway after Kabale to admire Lake Bunyonyi.
Mountain Gorilla Tracking in the Impenetrable Forest of Bwindi NP
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - In the early morning, the driver will take guests to the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) Headquarters in the Buhoma section for a briefing. Gorilla tracking commences immediately after the briefing. Guided by UWA guides, the gorillas are tracked, with the distance and time varying based on the gorillas’ location. Each group is allotted 2 hours with the gorillas. There will also be a community walk and interaction with the Batwa Communities, as well as bird watching at River Munyaga. The bird list of Bwindi includes Jameson’s Antpecker.

An overnight stay at Kitandara Luxury Tented Camp (Buhoma) or Gorilla Safari Lodge (standard) is planned as preparation for the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Early Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP via the Ishasha Sector
Queen Elizabeth National Park - The day begins with a 340km (5-7 hour) journey from Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth NP via the Ishasha sector. This route offers the chance to see tree-climbing lions, elephants, and bushbucks before arriving at Bush Lodge for relaxation.
Game Drive in Kasenyi & Afternoon Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel
Kazinga Channel - The guide will start the day at Lake Katwe (Salt Lake), where guests can interact with salt miners. The journey continues to nearby Lake Kasenyi for bird watching. From a distance, Lake Nyamununka, known for its healing properties due to its ammonia richness, can be seen. The trip proceeds to the Kazinga Channel for a boat cruise, followed by an evening game drive. On the boat, guests will enjoy views of peaceful hippopotamuses, buffalos, African Nile crocodiles, reptiles, and a variety of birds, including the African Fish Eagle. Sights of Lake George and Lake Albert are also included. The evening game drive offers views of primates, lions, spotted hyenas, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, kobs, baboons, warthogs, and forest hogs.
Early Transfer to Kibale Forest NP for Afternoon Chimpanzee Tracking
Kibale National Park - To ensure timely tracking, guests will travel 211km (4-5 hours) to Kibale Forest National Park, where tracking begins upon arrival.

An evening walk in the wilderness is planned, with an overnight stay at Kibale Forest Camp.
Shopping in Kampala City or Entebbe and Flight Back Home
Kampala - The day starts with a morning trip back to Kampala via Fort Portal, a 4-hour and 47-minute drive. After lunch, there will be a few hours for shopping before heading to Entebbe for the flight back home.
